Children's Museum, Feb 20, 2016

Many thanks to Summer, Brian & Dina who work at the Children's Museum and helped us through the evening as we had over 80 people come and fellowship together for the evening. Forty-four of these were children and included children from 3 families that we had never met before but were invited to fellowship with us. Thanks to everyone that helped set up and donated the refreshments and big thanks to Linda & Rabecca who helped Madilyn, Hailey, Laly & Alivia bake peanut butter and oatmeal/raisin cookies for the festivities. The Psalmist wrote, "How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! For there the Lord bestows His blessing, even life forevermore." (Psalms 133: 1,3) It was a blessing to our Father in heaven to watch those He refers to as "His children" playing, adults enjoying fellowship with one another and hearing God being praised through singing. Thanks to Aimee and Dina for sharing their gifts and love for music with everyone. What a joy to watch these young people surrounded by adults who understand or are beginning to understand that it takes a whole village to raise up a child. Everyone is important in God's kingdom and has his or her own special calling and gifts to bring God glory and strengthen the Body of Christ if they are willing to receive the free gift of eternal life made possible through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We are looking forward to seeing how these relationships with God and each other will be deepened during the days and weeks to come and we are eagerly anticipating our next Children's Museum outreach on Saturday, March 19th, from 5:30-8:30pm.
Jesus promised, "But I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself."
