Many thanks to the families and friends that support these young people that are being shown the love of Jesus and being taught to be His disciples. It is not that common to witness young people wanting to spend their Saturday morning crushing cans and donating their change to help others that are less fortunate than themselves. Thanks for those that set up, make the sandwiches and juice, prepare the lessons and join with these kids as they learn to truly worship. What an encouragement to listen to them share scriptures they have learned and how they use them in their daily life. To watch them making Valentine's for the special people in their lives and learning to appreciate the blessings they have been given. This day they learned about the life of Saul who was the first king of the Israel. The verse that they joined together in memorizing was James 4:17, "Anyone who knows the good they ought to do and doesn't do it sins." Meaning that if you choose to disobey God you lose that special relationship with Him that you have been given. So beautiful to hear them sing the words of "Trust and obey, there is no other way....". It was also a special day for Noah and Sarah who received their penpal letters with photos from their new friends in Africa. The kids are looking forward to being together for our next evening at the Children's Museum at the Cascade Mall in Burlington on Saturday, Feb 20, from 5:30-8:30pm and the next Harvest Kids the following Saturday, Feb 27th. The next Harvest Kids they will be working on something to share at the Harvest Vision Celebration on Sunday, Feb 28th, at the Manantial de Agua Viva church in Burlington. The girls are excited about a Tea Party that they will be hosting on March 20th. They will be getting together four different times to prepare and learn about serving before the event.
