Thanks to Isaac who loaned us his truck and to Kris we were able to take the aluminum cans that everyone has donated and that the kids have crushed to the recycle in Bellingham. We have been able to establish a special relationship with Aristeo who works at the recycle place and weighs out the cans for us. Over the trips, he has learned about the kids and a little about the work that they are doing to help meet the needs of vulnerable children in Africa. He is so friendly and it is so special to thank him and help him see that what he may see as a job to simply make a living is being used by God to help others. Although the price has dropped almost in half over these last few months, the 333 lbs of cans were exchanged for $116.
