What a wonderful day at Harvest Kids this last Saturday! Everyone pitched in to help crush all the cans we had and then filled the bullet 2 more inches with coins. Ted spoke to the kids about his trip to Africa. He had a map to show them where and how far away Africa is and he also had photos to show them. The 4th Saturday of every month, Harvest Kids celebrates everyone’s birthday and at the last Harvest Kids we filled the bullet so that meant for a cupcake party! While everybody was enjoying their cupcake, Rabecca gave a short message on Colossians 1:16. “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers; all things were created by him and for him.” The kids then went outside to do a scavenger hunt! The first one who finished in 10 minutes got first place and received a Jesus bracelet and everyone else got a pencil! One of the things that will be going to Africa in October will be 4 indestructible soccer balls. These were bought by our friend Steve Patterson from Tennessee. God told Rabecca to have everyone at Harvest Kids sign the balls for the kids in Africa. It was a pretty special moment! The kids then filled out pen pals that will also be taken to Africa. To end our time together, we went outside to play a little fun game of “Simon Says”. Thank you to those who made lunch, brought cupcakes, the adults who helped with Harvest Kids, those who save their cans and coins, and to those who pray for us and all the work being done locally and in Africa. We are so thankful for all of you guys! The next Harvest Kids will be October 10th 10-12:30pm! We hope to see you there!
