We are so thankful for the city of Sedro Woolley that allows us to use the Riverfront Park, which includes the outdoor amphitheater, for our 3rd Annual Harvest Fest. We were blessed to have seven different groups of Christian musicians sharing their gifts to the glory of God and the pleasure of everyone that attended. Christians from different local church families were joined by others in the park or that had been invited that were not believers and the Holy Spirit ministered through the music and fellowship to each one in many different ways. The music included contemporary worship in English and Spanish, rock, rap and heavy metal, with the gospel message of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. The groups included musicians from the Harvest Vision church fellowship, Mi Luz y Mi Salvacion, Closer to Home, Holy Ghost Riders, Redeem the Exile, The Vast Ocean and Toarn. We were also encouraged and moved by a human drama skit that members of a team that recently were on a mission trip to Mexico presented. The skit showed how we were created originally to have fellowship with God, but because of sin have been separated from Him. The characters in the drama show some of the ways in which sin keeps us away from God but the undying love of our Creator when received by our faith can bring freedom and put us in relationship with our Father through Jesus Christ. Many thanks to those that shared with other believers and non-believers throughout the day, helped prepare and share food and drinks, helped with sound and setup and helped clean-up afterwards. We are excited about how the Lord will use this gathering next year as we focus on the role of the local church family in teaching new believers God's Word and through the power of the Holy Spirit preparing and equipping them to share the love of Jesus to those in their sphere of influence.
