King David wrote in Psalms 133, "How pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity." Thanks to everyone that worked so hard to prepare and make the Fall Festival at the Harvest Home such a wonderful time of sharing and fellowship. Jesus said, "You will know they are My disciples because of their love for one another." It was truly a labor of love and a blessing to see people talking, laughing, sharing, encouraging and caring for one another. From sharing a bowl of home-made chili, petting the calf or the goat, guessing how much candy corn was in the bowl, anticipating who would walk away with the beautiful raffle prizes, playing bean bag toss or racing hot wheels, making that something special our of gak, rolling up a paper bead or coloring, getting that special face-painting and learning about how we can help reach the homeless in our community, be involved in a mission trip to Mexico, help the Harvest Kids who are meeting the needs of vulnerable children in Africa and how everyone can help support the amazing work of our co-laborers in Central Africa who are bringing the gospel message to thousands in their communities. All of this while lifting our voices and hands to worship the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, our Savior and friend, Jesus Christ. Jesus said that He would build His Church and the gates of hell will not overcome it. His Church is real and it does it exist. He is the head, the Holy Spirit is the true worship leader and showing the love of the Father to all mankind is the vision and purpose.
