We are blessed to have a new coordinator in NW Uganda, Pr Christopher, and we were able to get sound and video equipment to him the end of September. He had outreaches in Erussi, that borders on the DRCongo, Sept 24-27 where over 1,000 people attended and 300 people received salvation and in Oyuthu, working with the Pentecostal churches of Uganda and in partnership with the Living Gospel Church, over 700 people attended and over 200 accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior. All of these are now being discipled in local church families in their communities. This is a portion of the testimony that was included in the report from Christopher:
"The holistic nature of evangelism development requires collaboration, consensus and partnership across different churches. But each church also has a significant role to play in the development of evangelism program. Each partnering church is able to reach to different communities through follow up, discipleship program, home visit, and counseling including water baptism to meet individual spiritual growth and transformation. It is only through successful partnerships that many churches can be reached with services and support. To this end, Harvest Vision Africa works with a wide range of churches from the districts of west Nile region, including the Buliisa and Hoima District and part of the DRCongo. It is important that we be changed and motivated to share our faith by the mind and heart of Jesus. The best way to do that is to have Scripture at the heart of our lives. Witnessing is always more effective when we talk to God before we talk to people. Colossians 4:2-4, 'Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should."
