Mexico News January 1-18

Greetings from sunny San Luis!
We are excited for what this new year will bring! We have already experienced great blessings, but have also met many challenges. Doubt inevitably comes into ministry that requires such great faith. The enemy presents himself, saying “How do you know you’re supposed to be here doing what you’re doing?...Look at yourself, you have lost everything and are left with nothing.” The word says we overcome the enemy by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony.
So, we continue to profess Jesus Christ as Lord here in San Luis, in the streets, prisons, rehabs, and churches. And we testify to you now of fruit that we believe to be lasting.
Encouragement and support continues to local churches, missions, and individual workers in the Body. Juan Jamie held two days of fellowships using the worship trailer. His wife Clara received knitting supplies to begin hat and scarf making lessons at the mission. Our new friends Juan Carlos and his wife Aida have joined us in the work of ministering in the prisons and rehabs, visiting local pastors in their homes, attending various church services, and a fellowship we’ve started at the mission home on Sunday evenings; where the building of relationships, bible study, and encouragement are the focus. Connie and Katie are petitioning fabric stores, churches and individuals in San Luis and across the border in Yuma for fabric, yarn, thread and miscellaneous supplies for the sewing room and our satellite sewing ministries.
Neighborhood families continue to be blessed and children received for board games and snacks. Our young friend David, whose mother Norma recently rededicated her life to the Lord during one of our outreaches, has been coming to this house since the Sanderson family was here. He used to come and play video games with Ezra, the Sanderson’s son. One particular day, Katie was making brownies and the kids flocked. After we thanked God for his provision and love, David kept his head bowed in prayer for a number of minutes. This boy has seen people come and go from this home, but yet he knows no matter whose here he is always welcome and that he is loved.
It is the love of Jesus that compels us. Whether it’s some yarn, the worship trailer, a visit, an encouraging word, a prayer, a cup of coffee, or even a brownie, we see his love reaching out to people through it all. We encourage you today to look at your hands. What has God given you? We hope and pray that you use it to join us in building His kingdom!

Mexico News 1-15th of December

The team went down from Washington to Mexico on the 15th of December; the team consisted of Dina, David, Gabe, Angie, Savanna, Ella, Caleb, Gary, and Hollie. While they are down there they will be going with Miguel to the prisons and rehabs to be with the people and encourage them. They will be visiting many church families near the town the home is located. They are also planning a birthday party for Brenda a good friend of ours down there, a friend here has got together many things for Brenda and the team took them down so they can give them to her on her birthday! The team had a chance to help feed those in need through the work that Alex, Julie and their three boys do every Saturday called “Kings Kids.”They are also helping Alex and Julie put up a fence that will go around the new property that their feeding ministry and church is located. They were excited that they got to go with Alex and Julie’s family to a village outside of Mexicali for a Christmas outreach! Katie and Malaika are with the team at the mission home and will be staying there until the second team comes on the 22nd of December.

Mexico Update Nov.1-15

Hello from sunny San Luis! We are grateful and encouraged by all God has been doing in and through the ministry of Harvest Vision here in Sonoro, Mx. The sewing ministry is flourishing under Connie Marino's supervision. Her love for sewing and seeing women discipled in the ways of Jesus are evident in the fruit being born. More than 12 women frequently visit the sewing room each week, along with their children. Connie has recently moved into a new home and has designated one room to be for her satellite sewing ministry that began some weeks ago. Katie visited the home of Luz and Candido, our ministry partners in "cardboard city". Together they shared tamales and cake in celebration of their eldest daughter’s birthday. Some donations that were at the Harvest Home made perfect gifts for Leslie, including some warm winter sweaters and even a new bike! Miguel continues to minister in the rehabs and prison without hesitation. Three men recently gave their lives to Jesus in the prison! Weekly services at the rehabs have always warmed seats, but Miguel says the Holy Spirit has been moving greatly and ten individuals are now seeking not only salvation but discipleship! We must all count the cost of discipleship, for the way is broad that leads to destruction but narrow to the life-giving love and peace that only comes from the Father! Alex and Julie are finally moved into the property in San Luis were the “Kings Kids” is flourishing with new faces each week. More people are coming to hear the word and be lead by the Spirit praise God! Unfortunately they are not able to leave the travel trailer on the property after they leave to the States for the week, and have to park it at a friend’s property, we are praying for the funding to put a fence around the property so that they trailer may stay when they are not there. Please keep the workers in San Luis in your prayers, we love you all!

Mexico October 2011
So the latest swing in the Mexico groove has been pretty incredible. Connie is doing the sewing ministry on Monday and Wednesday at her home, and then on Tuesday and Thursday she is at the Harvest Home with the ladies around the home and to finish up the weeks on Fridays she is at another sister’s house in fellowship with them. Luz was given shampoos and other hair accessories to distribute to those in needed of these supplies as well as 60 cases of Similac which is baby’s milk in concentrate form that she has already found people who have young babies or know of people who need this. Miguel continues to preach at local churches, visit rehabs and prison, organize outreaches and set up bible studies within and out of the walls of these places, he has sacrificed so much to do Gods work and feels the pain because not a lot of people are doing what he is so please pray that more workers will be sent by God into the fields for the harvest .All of his efforts are to encourage the body of Christ to prepare her for these final days. We had a successful outreach on the 20th that incorporated 5 ministries and availed over 200 in attendance and at least 20 salvations in Ejido Mesarica. A local band here in San Luis is preparing themselves to take the worship trailer on concert "tour", they want to set it up in parks and just play by the leading of the Holy Spirit. Even though our van that is used for hauling the worship trailer is broken and in need of a new motor, people from two different church families used their vans to take the trailer out for two successful outreaches the end of October. Also,
We also had a team from Washington come down to visit for a week. The team was able to help and bless a lot of different families and people and get projects going that have are just starting or have been stagnant for a while that needed an extra push. They helped Alex and Julie get further with building on their property for the feeding ministry. Because of a mistake on the part of the electric company the power has not been hooked up to the property as of the end of October. We are hoping that it will be soon so Alex and Julie can start staying at the property in their travel trailer on the weekends when they are in Mexico doing ministry. Also this last weekend, a group of brothers from Tijuana came to visit the prison and different church families and they were hosted at the mission home during their stay. Because of some other work that needed to be done in Yuma, Katie and Malika have not been able to be in Mexico during that last two weeks of October. She is hoping to resume her 3 days a week in Mexico starting the first of November. Connie along with both her sons Nick and Manuel helped clean up the sewing room because it had a water leak and was molded in a lot of areas, also building some appliances for the room as well. We also feel that God wants to use the Harvest home more than it is already being used now so we are in prayer for the person or people that God wants in the home to be available at all times for the workers here, please be praying for the right workers as well.

 Mexico, Sept 1, 2011
Hello from Sunny San Luis! Ministry is running full swing at the Harvest/Mission Homes and throughout the community here. The ladies continue to bless us in the sewing room. Connie has taken a sewing machine and supplies to her home to start our first satellite sewing ministry. Luz is learning how to care for her machine so she can take hers as well to bless the ladies in cardboard city. Miguel continues to preach at local churches, visit rehabs and prison, and organize outreaches...all in efforts to encourage the body of Christ to prepare herself for these final days. We had a successful outreach on the 20th that incorporated 5 ministries and availed over 200 in attendance and at least 20 salvations in Ejido Mesarica. A local band here in San Luis is preparing themselves to take the worship trailer on concert "tour". They want to set it up in parks and just play by the leading of the Holy Spirit. What an awesome time it is to be a worker in the field. There is so much work to be done that sometimes it feels overwhelming. You may think to yourself that there is too much too be done...so maybe you do nothing...frozen with fear. Fear not, God gave you a Spirit of courage. Remember, there are no great works...only little things done with great love. That is such a big part of the ministry down here...a borrowed tool or vehicle, a sewing lesson, a hug, a prayer, a little bag of beans and rice...but all done with great love. Thank you for supporting the ministry of Harvest Vision in San Luis, Mexico.
Peace be with you,
Katie
ps: See the photos in the photo gallery of a neighbor boy, David, whose mother taught him how to knit T-shirts into rugs. She learned this skill from Chris and Heather Sanderson when they came for a week to stay with us in the mission home. Instead of running around the streets, this boy has learned a skill and is using his creativity. And, he did it only two days!

Mexico News – August 15th

Greetings from sunny San Luis! It’s been a busy and exciting couple of weeks here. The “Reap What You Sew” ministry continues to bless the ladies. Connie has most of our machines up and running with the parts that were sent from Washington. And, we are pleased to announce that Connie and Luz will be receiving satellite sewing ministries in their homes. Connie already has 12 ladies in her neighborhood who are interested. The time in the sewing room is filled with joy, fellowship, and discipleship…it’s so much more than just sewing!
Miguel continues to visit rehabs and prison; all with testimonies of powerful moves of the Spirit. Although he has many responsibilities, he has faithfully continued to make those visits, knowing that God has called him to go.
On the evening of the 15th, we had a planning meeting at the mission home for an outreach this coming Saturday in an outlying village. This outreach is significant not only because we are answering the call to go, but also because of who is going. We have five churches/ministries teamed up for this one! Those included are New Life Ministries in Yuma, AZ, Jerusalem Evangelical Ministries based in Somerton, AZ, Harvest Vision Ministries, and two local churches here in Mexico. The heartbeat of this mission is unity and we look forward with anticipation for what God has in store.
Besides ministry work we also have the responsibility of keeping up the properties and vehicles. We registered the vehicle donated by Elizabeth. And, Miguel is making repairs on the bus and ministry van.
The work is much, and the laborers are few…pray to the Lord of the harvest to send workers! Remember God wants you…all of you! So answer his call today…wherever that mission field may be! Be blessed…and be a blessing!

July 7 - Aug 5, 2011, Mexico
Chris and Heather Sanderson and their family drove Alex & Julie Larios and their family back to Mexico after a wonderful 10 days of visiting and ministry in Washington. In Mexico, they painted the exterior of the new children’s addition to the sewing room, helped with the sewing ministry and joined in an outreach with the worship trailer. This was the first time in two years the Sandersons, who had lived in Mexico, have visited.
We also received the parts to repair all the sewing machines and Connie is in the process of repairing them. Two of them will be delivered to a woman in cardboard city to start another sewing ministry in that area.
Miguel is taking the trailer out on weekends working with local church families to do outreach. He is also visiting and encouraging Christian participation in the men's and women's federal prison and the many alcohol and drug rehabs throughout the city. He is also working on the estimate for importing the van, worship trailer and car into Mexico.
Alex and Julie and the boys have purchased a travel trailer and are getting it set up on their property in the outskirts of the city. They have the needed permits to finish the work on the bathrooms and are prayerfully waiting for support to hook up the power. Although they will be living in Arizona, they will be starting the feeding ministry and maintaining their church fellowship at the property in Mexico, even after the boys start back to school in September.
Katie and Malaika are still taking care of the day to day ministry out of the mission home. July 28-30, Katie hosted a women's retreat at the Gulfo, a seaside community south of San Luis. One of the six women accepted Jesus and they were all ministered to by the Holy Spirit as they shared true testimonies of fear, happiness, forgiveness, bitterness and the struggles that are so common but usually secret in our lives. Deep and lasting friendships were made and the last day of communion brought tears of joy to each one.
We are planning trips from Washington to Mexico Oct 7-16 and then around Christmas in December.
Please read the blogs and check out the photos on the website for more details about the months testimonies.

Mexico News July 6th
I have been amazed these last couple of weeks at the number of children who have flocked to our mission house door. It all started the the final day the last team was here. We had a hot dog and worship fiesta here at the house. Music poured into the streets and drew neighborhood children out of their houses. One young boy asked me why everyone was raising their hands and crying; he obviously had never seen anything like it. I told him God was touching them and doing something special in their hearts. I told him that God would do the same for him, he just had to ask. He nodded his head and smiled. A twelve year old girl named Stephanie was there also. She was smiling and holding her hands together, just watching everything. I asked her if she knew Jesus. She nodded her head and said she was Catholic, but there was something about this that was different, and she liked it. Those two children and others, have been at the house almost everyday since. We play board games, do activities in the sewing room, make snacks and watch movies. But, we start and finish everything with prayer, thanking God for what he has given us.

As a 12 year old boy, Jesus was moved by the Spirit to enter the temple courts LK 2:27

So, too, have these children been moved. God has placed us here in San Luis, Mexico to be like the outer temple court; a place where all would be welcomed to pray, spend time together, learn and grow in Him.

Blessed are those you choose and bring near to live in your courts! Ps 65:4

Mx news through June 3, 2011
Katie worked during the weeks to paint and prepare for the team that came down the end of May to work on the children’s playroom for the sewing ministry. Miguel has been ministering locally, at the prison and rehabs, as well as attending various church families and taking the worship trailer out when requested. We are working to get the car donated by Elisabeth Waldron working so that the large van will not have to be used so much for ministry because of the cost of gas. Unfortunately, Alex was laid off his job at the factory in San Luis, AZ, but is looking for only temporary work because they are planning to travel as a family to Washington when the June 17-27 returns.
George, Linda, Leonard Hoff, Kylee and her two daughters, Madilyn and Hailey, came from Washington from May 28 to June 3rd. The children’s playroom was framed, roofed and sided and the door installed and window relocated Hopefully, the team coming on June 18 will get the rest of the work finished. We were also thankful that Katie’s, mother (Lynette) and stepdad (Thor) came to help Leonard and George on the addition. Neighbors, family and friends joined together for a birthday party for Maliaka and the team visited the Dream Center church family, made a trip to Algodones to buy a pair of glasses for Madilyn, ordered a power mixer for Alex and Julie’s church family, planned a women’s retreat for July at the Gulfo, visited with Candido and Luz and their girls, visited with Pastor Jose & Consuelo Rivera and got the last bunk bed made up for the men’s side of the mission home. Please check out the blogs and the photos on the website.
Katie and Maliaka joined with the team for a trip to the Goshen Ministries in Tucson, AZ and then Kylee, Katie and the girls flew to Washington, while George and Linda went to visit the Navajo Indian Reservation.

 April 18-May 17
What a powerful time it’s been the past few weeks in San Luis!  Our director Miguel delivered the sports equipment for the annual Sports Tournament at the men’s prison.  Later on, Miguel’s brother Jesse preached a moving message that brought five men to salvation and many to their knees.
Over at the women’s prison, Miguel, Katie, and two sisters in the Lord ministered to the ladies during a morning service.  The sister spoke one phrase in her sermon, saying, “Aren’t you tired of words?”  At that moment the Holy Spirit filled the room and drenched us all.  The love of God himself touched these women through us…it was so pure.
“Father, when did we visit you in prison?”
“When you were visiting those imprisoned in San Luis…you were visiting me!”
The worship trailer was a used for a three day crusade.  Miguel said it was an awesome time!  Baby clothes that were brought down by the last team blessed a new mother, and were given to some local ministers in cardboard city for an outreach tool.  The sewing room has been filled with women and their children.  And, people have stopped by the house for beans and rice, counsel, fellowship and prayer.
We thank you for your support and encourage you to open your eyes to the harvest field around you!

April 8-17, 2010 Mission team in San Luis, Mx

The girl’s brought Brenda, our neighbor, to the mission home in her wheelchair and “pampered” her with washing her hair and bathing her with God’s love and attention. The home has been filled with pastors and other friends and neighbors during the entire week. One night, the home was filled with the “older” girls for a sleep-over and another night, the house was filled with younger children, for a night of games and smores. The group visited neighbors and were able to bag up beans and rice to be given out whenever needed, provide food and firewood to Alva Ruth and her family and help a father get a bicycle so he would have transportation to work and provide for his family. The team also made up packages of “salvation bracelets” to be given to local pastor’s and church leaders for their outreach into the community and did maintenance on the vans and bus that are used to support the ministry and are loaned out to church families when needed.
Although, the construction of the children’s playroom for the sewing ministry, was not completed, the girls were able to help Rosario and Katie clean up the sewing room and stock it with the cloth and sewing ministry supplies that were brought from Washington. Miguel had a small area in front of the sewing ministry door fenced so the children of the women that come to the sewing ministry will have a safer place for their children to play while they are sewing and the team are making plywood cut-outs of children painted in different colors to wire onto the fence.
During the week, the team has visited a local drug rehab, the men’s and women’s federal prison, house church fellowship at Pastor Fausto’s and with Alex and Julie’s and the church fellowship with Pastor Fidel at the Dream Center where there was a “whole lot of dancing going on!”. We are blessed that the trophies and soccer, basketball, volleyball and softball equipment to support the annual sport’s tournament and crusade in the men’s federal prison was available to give to Miguel so he can work with the church family and administration in the prison to set up the tournament, probably in May. The team was also able to supply much needed soaps and lotions to the women in the prison.
The team visited our brother, Candido, and his family in cardboard city and were able to provide soaps and lotions and bags of beans and rice that they will be able to distribute to those in need around their home. They are a special family with a great vision to minister in their community and we are continually encouraged by their faithfulness. The team was blessed with getting more time to spend with Alex and Julie and their family during the week. They not only visited the property where they are working to build a ministry complex, Pan de Vida (Bread of Life), but some of the team members were able to go out and do some “hands on” work to finish the bathroom and finish a “room” for the family to stay in whenever they are in Mexico. They currently live in Arizona during the week, where Alex works and the boys attend school.
The team will be finishing the week supporting a children’s outreach in cardboard city, complete with sports, games and hot dogs. The team will be working with a pastor and his wife in cardboard that have been involved in ministry with over 100 children in the outskirts of the city. Prior to the outreach, the team will be at the canal to baptize two of the team members, Lisa and Holly, Mickie, the older son of Miguel our ministry over-seer, Laura, the wife of Abraham and some other young people that attend the fellowship with Pastor Fausto.

March 2011
Hi there from sunny San Luis!
It's been a quiet couple of weeks here at the mission home.  Although Miguel has been working a fulltime job he continues to minister at the rehabs and prison, preach at various church's and, of course, keep me in line.  I (Katie) have been spending time in the sewing room with the ladies...what a joy!  And, I've been doing some spring cleaning and painting inside the mission home.
I had an opportunity to visit Elario and Margarita's church for a Wednesday night service.  Although Elario is Mexican-born, he spent twenty years in California where he met his wife Margarita, an Italian who spoke no Spanish.  But, she learned his language, and three years ago God called them to leave everything behind and begin a church here.
They had no building to hold services and no financial backing, but that did not stop them from fulfilling the call the Lord had upon their lives.  They were humbled as they suffered poverty and were scorned by people who thought they were crazy for living in a grass thatched home and holding service outside with a few wooden benches.
Through it all they said they always had the joy of the Lord and knew he would provide for all their needs.  I was amazed by their faith, encouraged by the simplicity of the service, blessed by the purity in the worship and overwhelmed by the presence of the Holy Spirit!
Preparations are under way for the April mission team coming from Washington, and we are so excited for all that God has in store!  Thank you for your prayers and continued support of Harvest Vision Ministries and the body of Christ here in San Luis!  Be blessed!
Katie Pelgrine

 Feb 17-27, 2011
George and Dina traveled to Mexico and were blessed to take a sewing machine & cloth for the sewing ministry, Spanish Bibles and covers and soaps and lotions and bags for outreach ministry. The ministry is growing and many people are visited the mission home during the week. Miguel has been working with a new couple, Abraham and Laura and their 3 young girls, and they are involved in all aspects of the ministry. During the week, they ministered at the house churches at Miguel’s mother and Pastor Faustos, the Dream Center church family, the men’s federal prison and the CREEDA alcohol and drug rehab.  Bibles and covers were given to the prison and new cymbals are on order for their drum set. The worship trailer went out with the youth from the United in Faith church family for outreach. An informal meeting was held to discuss and pray over the ministry in the prison and local rehabs at the mission home. Alex and Julie hosted a quinciniera for Fabiola, a 15 year old girl, they have been ministering to that lives in cardboard city and is surrounded by gang activity. It was a wonderful demonstration of the Father’s love being expressed through the Church to one of His precious daughters. During the week, Dina invited Abraham and Laura’s 3 daughters, 5 year old niece and our 7 year old neighbor girl, Vanessa, for an over night girl’s party at the mission home. Later, Dina went and stayed the night with Abraham and Laura and their girls in their small home in cardboard city. Our friend, Connie, and her daughter-in-law, Laura, came during the week and helped Dina with cleaning and organizing the mission home. We were able to give her paint for the home that she is renting and cloth to help make new blankets for the beds in the mission home. Katie, that used to live in Mexico before going to Africa, and her daughter, Malika, came and spent two nights at the mission home. Katie helped Connie and Dina with clean up and will be moving to the mission home in Mexico from Yuma the first week of March. Katie will stay Monday through Friday in Mexico and spend the weekends working and visiting with her parents in Yuma. During the week, the group traveled to Algodones and purchased the anti-biotics that George will be taking to the hospital in the DRCongo in mid March. Besides cleaning and organizing the mission and harvest home and inventorying the bedding and items that are needed to support future teams, the registration for the yellow bus was completed, a new ministry bank account was opened and the concrete floor was poured for the new children’s playroom addition to the sewing ministry.

Feb 2, 2011 (San Luis, Mexico)
I have the money that Chris sent, no problem. Last week everyday we have been used in ministry to brothers in their houses from different churches. It is really great when two or more are together serving God. The white van is still with Pastor Eladio but on Mondays pastor from Victory Outreach is using the van to go to Mexicali to a men’s bible study. He asked me and I put him in touch with these two pastors and now they have to be friends. I like this, if we can use our resources to make Christian be friends, aleluya! I have been in contact with a few pastors and the evangelist trailer is now with dates to be used, next Feb 15 & 26. The Saturday night prayer sessions at my mama’s house are more and more great. We are now more people and maybe we are going to move to the mission home next Saturday because we need more room. This morning on the mission home the smoke alarms were activated. I pushed the button but later they are going again. Maybe you know what is going on. I don’t know much about these things. I don’t smell any smoke now, but who knows. Today, I go for the plates for the yellow bus, and also I’m going to back to water company again to shut the water off to the garage property.
God gave another song to Miki, a great one!
Hugs and kisses to all
I love you guys. See you.
Miguel Tapia, Lore, Miki, Daniel and Sofi
** We have informed Miguel that he should be changing the batteries out for the smoke detectors. Alex approached his new employer to let him know that he would not be able to work 12 hours a day 7 days a week as requested and the employer granted his request and he is now employed Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime and weekends off so they will be able to maintain the ministry in Mexico. Thanks for your prayers. Miguel also mentioned that Rosario and Julie both have different groups of women that are currently using the sewing ministry. Everyone is looking forward to the team from Washington to visit in mid February. (George)

 Jan 18th 2010
I talked to Miguel and Alex tonight. Miguel is planning a meeting with the pastors and leaders that sponsor services in the prison this week and we all need to keep this meeting lifted up in prayer that there may be more unity in the body serving the church family in the prison. One of the local music groups will be using the worship trailer for a service a month starting soon and Pastor Eladio & Margarita's will be borrowing the white van for some of the next three weeks to transport children. Miguel is still working to get the water to the garage property "officially" cut off and to get the registration for the yellow bus switched into his name. Praise report....Miguel has his driver's license... He also took the drum heads into the prison.
Alex was offered and accepted a job at a parachute manufacturing plant in San Luis, AZ where Pastor Manriques from Almas para Cristo works. The job was originally for work from 6-2:30pm Monday-Friday, but they have since told him for the next four months they expect 6am-6pm, 7 days a week. He is considering offering them to work Monday through Friday but needs the weekends off. Please pray that God's will be done. He had redrawn the prints for the ministry complex that is being built on the 45th property and his brother-in-law still has to revise the prints to be submitted for the permit. The tambourines for their church arrived and the equipment for the worship trailer. All the equipment is in the trailer, except the new stabilizer that is still at Alex's home in San Luis, Mx. Julie and the women are using the sewing room with Rosario.

Well, it has been a great and profitable visit in Mexico. Victor and Elvira are doing well. We were able to get Victor a new phone (011-521-653-530-8810) and helped pay the registration for the tabs for the Honda. He has been able to focus a lot more on their family and is now a pastor with the New Wine church family that is growing rapidly here in Sonora. We know that God will continue to use both of them and we are thankful for his leadership and the pastors and leaders that have been strengthened and the many souls that have come into the kingdom in these last few years. Thankfully, our relationships with many different church families has expanded and we are more available to those in need. We have transitioned the over-sight of the ministry, along with various utilities and finance, to Miguel Tapia. The Lord has spoken to us to not pursue the AR (Religious Association) approval for Harvest Vision in Mexico, but we will instead support Alex and Julie Larios in the establishing of the Pan de Vida church family as an AR. Alex and Julie cleaned and inventoried the worship trailer and we have ordered some drum heads, drumsticks, microphones and a new stabilizer to ensure it is ready and available. We also ordered tambourines for them to use with the youth that attend their church family. I was blessed to be with them when their family visited with them last weekend and to preach to their church family. We had some problems with the prints for the construction of the ministry complex on their property further out of city. Because of the over-all size of the complex and the need for adequate parking to support a church facility, they are revising the plans to include only the feeding ministry, class rooms and a home for the family. Alex is working on the permits and we were able to help pay the back taxes and leases on the property and will help as we can with construction. We are also looking for a possible travel trailer that could be set on the property to provide them a place to live when they come to do services on Wednesday nights and the weekends. Because of Alex's residency, the boys are required to be enrolled and attend school in San Luis, AZ where they have an apartment.
The neighborhood is quickly rallying to fill the void left by Victor and Elvira's move to a different ministry. Miguel will be operating his carpentry business at the garage by the mission home, which will allow him to be present during most of the days. This will help with those that want to use the worship trailer or borrow a vehicle or get a bag of beans and rice. Our neighbors, Rosario and Chindo and their children, will also be available to help. Rosario will head up the sewing ministry and has 5 women coming tomorrow. One of them that Elvira had asked to help is the "teacher" for the sewing and lives across the street and behind the mission home. Her name is Veronica and her husband has brought the property directly behind the mission home to set up a mechanic and transmission shop. Veronica is also friends with Geraldo and Dehlia, our neighbors beside the harvest home, and Dehlia is also helping. They are especially excited about the children's room that is being planned to be built when the Washington team comes in February. This will give the mothers a safe place for their children while they are involved in the sewing ministry. Eliseo, our neighbor on the other side of the harvest home has now been drug-free for 18 months and Miguel is asking him to get involved in the rehab ministry. He is still using the drills and ladder to finish their home and we were blessed to be able to give them some new blankets last week that our friends from Skagit Valley donated. Alva Ruth and the kids are still stopping by, Josefina, Brenda and Estavan are always ready with a smile and Daniel is always ready for Playstation. Isaul, Chindo and Rosario's oldest son, is starting his next term at the university to study engineering and will be staying in the mission home at night.
Thanks to Miguel, the mission home windows now have metal grating over them to add another level of protection for the home. Juan Jamie just finished the over-haul of the white van that we loan out and also use as the main transport for the worship trailer. Him and his family are starting a new church plant and we are excited to stand along with him. Juan Jamie has the reputation for picking up the most kids in the bus for attending the King's Kids program that we helped support in the neighborhood a few years ago. I have personally counted 147 get out of the bus. We have attended the men's federal prison the last 3 Mondays and have been blessed to be here when Pastor Arturo, the pastor of Nuevo Nacimiento church family in the prison, was released. Miguel was at the first church service he attended after his release and where he ministered in a powerful and loving way. Later, that night, Miguel's brother, Jesse, met him at a local grocery where he told Jesse that his "suffering has broken his heart for those that are lost and don't know Jesus Christ." Miguel, Jesse and I attended the service today, where we joined with the leaders to anoint and pray for the new pastor, Pedro and the work that God is going to do through him. We also were able to bring New Testaments, both Spanish and English, and ordered new drum heads and drum sticks for their worship team. After we left the main prison and arrived at the guardhouse, we were met by Arturo and his wife, that had come to thank us for our support while he was in prison. The February team will be bringing more Bibles and tracts for the prison when they come.

December Update (by George Henson)
Victor spent the entire month praying and fasting for direction and guidance and have been led to be doing other ministry in San Luis. We are working to transition the day to day over-sight of the ministry to Miguel Tapia. We are excited for Victor and Elvira and grateful for the contributions they have made to the ministry in San Luis the last couple of years. Although they weren’t able to stay with the team, they were able to prepare the mission home to receive the team from Washington that visited from December 17-25. We are thankful for our coordinators that helped set up the team and for Angela Fields, who brought her son, Caleb, (Lyman Baptist Church) and provided practical and spiritual over-sight as the team leader. The team included Jake Eldridge from North Cascade Christian Fellowship and Christina Brown from Cascade Christian Church in Sedro Woolley, WA. We were also joined by Tim, Jennifer, Amanda and Kate Marvin that attend the Presbyterian Church in Mukilteo, WA.
The team brought bags, Spanish Bibles, toys (donated by Newsong), soaps and lotions (donated by Cascade Christian and Bethel Assembly of God), a sewing machine and cloth and regular decks of cards that can be used to learn about the Bible. We are thankful to Shane Henson, Bill Trombetta and Dale Robertson who helped do some repair work on the ministry van before the trip. It was a wonderful week of fellowship and for the first time in 10 years we had rain some of the days. This also provided Tim and Jake the opportunity to use their gifts to repair the leaking roof on the mission home and Alex and Julie’s home. We were able to get the garage and shop cleaned up and hang some partition curtains inside so Miguel can do his carpentry business out of the shop. This is important because it gives him the opportunity to be available during the day time at the ministry complex. Many pastors and friends continue to come by for prayer, fellowship, some food or to borrow tools, the vans or the worship trailer. The team also made a cake and visited Miguel’s family to celebrate Lorena’s birthday. The team visited and brought gifts and food for Josefina and Brenda, Jennifer fixed Brenda’s hair, Tim got them firewood and the team finished the last outside wall and painted their kitchen house. The team also visited and brought gifts, food and firewood for Alva Ruth and her kids. A visit to Candido and Betty’s allowed the boys to do a little concrete work on the foundation of their new home and bring bags of beans and rice for them to distribute in their neighborhood. The team added a little Christmas flair of their own as they put candy canes in the bags of beans and rice. The week also included two visits to a local rehab with Miguel, helping with the Christmas service with Alex and Julie, providing food, Bibles and support for an outreach with the worship trailer ministry on Christmas Eve with Juan Jamie and his family and visiting the future site of the ministry complex that Alex and Julie are building further out in cardboard city. Tim, Jake and George went to the men’s federal prison and the team brought wood that the prison pastor will be using with the other inmates to make picture frames which they sell and then use the profit to purchase tile for the floor of their church building. The team visited and brought food to Maria Elena, wife of Juan Pablo, who will be out of prison in two weeks, put up basketball nets in the local park, bought a few soccer balls, visited Pastor Jose Rivera and his family to pray for his continued recovery from cancer, made bracelets and bought a new controller so Daniel could use the play station. Rosario taught the team to make tamales, provided tortillas and allowed the use of her two youngest children, Vanessa and Juan Ramon, to be “everyone’s children” and Caleb’s “Amigo por siempre – Friend forever”. We also discussed the possibility of Rosario to help coordinate the sewing ministry. An Incredible week of the entire team drawing closer to each other as God’s children.
George remained in San Luis to help with the transition and will be returning on January 4th. A team is expecting to come from Washington in mid February to build a children’s playroom and playground on the sewing room and we are helping to get the necessary permits to help Alex and Julie start work on their ministry complex. We are tentatively seeking the possibility of a trailer they could put on the property so they could stay in it when they are on this side of the border and doing ministry in that neighborhood. Please check out the team blogs and photos on the website.

November Update
The last month the mission team in Mexico has been very blessed to have Jesse Kelley down to partner with them in day to day ministry. He first hand has gotten to see God's miracles happen. He arrived in San Luis not knowing Vicotr or Elvira, but very ready to help. They started off the month with a 5 day outreach using the worship trailer. Each night was at a new location and each night the saw people healed and brought to Jesus. Throughout the month Victor and Jesse spent lots of time with Pastor Padilla who is buiding a new church in San Luis. They helped pour the fondation for the building and Pastor Padilla joined with them to do ministry. They delivered food to families all through San Luis and into Cardboard City and even some ejidos farther out of town. Jesse joined in many local services with numerous pastors and got to see the work Victor and Elvia are doing with DEF and Child Protective Services. Now Jesse has come back to the US annd Victor and Elvira are still busy doing ministry and preparing for the December team to join them in Mexico.

Oct 8-17, 2010 Mission team in San Luis, Mx
George and Linda Henson, Armando Lopez, Mike White and Dina Wilkins left Sedro Woolley, WA Friday morning and picked up Lisa Abbott in Seattle before heading south to Mexico. The team had great fellowship and sharing along the way and then stopped in California to pick up another team member, Sarah Johnson. The team arrived in San Luis, Mexico at the mission home at 4pm where they were greeted by Victor & Elivra, the directors of the ministry. The team unloaded the ministry supplies that had been donated by friends in Washington; sewing machines, cloth, bags of marbles, soaps and lotions, stuffed animals, school supplies, tools, etc. A group of local youth were setting up to practice on the worship trailer that is parked in the front of the garage and Armando and Mike were able to help and encourage them. After a brief rest, the team then left to attend a house church that has been started by Pastora Florentina. Recently, most of the family had been delivered from demonic influences and received Jesus and even this night, two of the family members showed up for the first time and were delivered and born again!
Evangelist Eduardo Armenti and his family joined in with the team each day. Eduardo is helping to set up the baseball teams with the equipment that has been donated by friends from Washington and the ministry was able to help him secure his legal driver’s license and make needed repairs to his car.
After devotions on Sunday morning, the team visited the home church, Pan de Vida (Bread of Life), that is pastored by Alex and Julie Larios. The Holy Spirit poured out His anointing through the music, the sharing of the Word and prayers for those that were at the service. Afterwards, the team was joined by neighbors and Alex & Julie and friends at the mission home to celebrate Dina’s 21st birthday. Afterwards, everyone climbed into the yellow bus and Dina received her “present” by getting to drive the bus out to the property that Alex and Julie will be using to build a feeding ministry and local worship center. We were blessed to hear the vision that God has put in their hearts – to minister to those in this very poor neighborhood and bring them together as His Church – caring and meeting each other’s needs as God has asked us to do. Lisa also confirmed a vision to have small shower buildings in different parts of cardboard city so that people could come and bathe. Please pray and expect to hear and be a part of this aspect of the ministry. In the evening, Victor and Elvira went to pray and visit the baseball ministry, while the remainder of the team went to the home of Miguel and Lorena Tapia. Miguel is the coordinator of the ministry into the federal prison and various drug rehab facilities in the city. We were blessed to have Mickie, their 14 year old son, sing the 4th song that the Holy Spirit has given him. God’s Word says that He will pour out His Spirit on all people, men and women and that old men will have dreams and young men will have visions. Awesome to witness God’s Word coming to reality.
On Monday morning, Victor, George, Mike and Armando traveled to visit with Miguel and Lorena and then attend the service at the local federal prison. Armando, Mike and George shared a word of encouragement before Miguel delivered the message. The Holy Spirit moved in power throughout the service as everyone was ministered to, individually and corporately. During the time the men were at prison, the women walked down to visit with Brenda and her family. As usual, Brenda, though crippled physically, spiritually ministered to them as they witnessed the “treasure in jars of clay” that Paul talked about in the Bible. Part of the team then went to visit Pastor Joel’s home and meet his 9th child that had been born the day before. Joel and his children are blessed with the gift of music and serve the Body by making themselves available to different church families and outreaches throughout San Luis and the out-lying parts of the community. Afterwards, Eduardo and his family and Miguel joined with us to attend the service at “Casa de Todos” (Everyone’s Church) with Pastora Florentina and the church family there. It was a blessing to hear Mike and Armando share their testimonies with others and then receive the Word of God. Most of those that attended came forward and received prayer. Prior, to the giving of the Word, Victor was asked to take over-sight of another young man that was in the government’s charge for trying to cross the border illegally. He is one of other young men that Victor and Elvira have been given responsibility for until they can be legally reunited with their families. This 17 year old has traveled over 3,200 miles from his home village to find hope where he saw none. Let us pray that He receives the truth of God’s love as surely as all the other men that have been brought to the mission home for the few weeks or months that they have been exposed to the love of Jesus in a home environment. Afterwards, everyone joined together for a great feast prepared by Florentina and the precious saints that have been called to this neighborhood.
Tuesday, was a day of blessings poured out on everyone in and out of the mission home. The team joined with Elvira to hosts women and their children from throughout the community to the sewing ministry. Amazing work as the Washington women joined with their Mexico sisters to embroidery, sew and make craft bracelets. A project is being put together to expand the physical presence of the ministry by providing a fenced children’s playground in the front and expand the building for more storage and a children’s playroom. Please join us in prayer for the provision needed to make this possible. Armando and Mike, joined with Victor, Eduardo and Rutilio to visit a local pastor and acquire some bread that will be used to feed the less fortunate. The team then bagged the rice and beans we bought and the lotions and soap that were donated by the Sedro Woolley Community Church. The afternoon was a highlight for the entire family as Sarah received Jesus as her Savior. The team joined our Mexico ministry team and took the worship trailer to a property at the outskirts of town and by the canal for an outreach with Florentina’s church family. Pastor Joel Dominguez and his family provided music followed by testimonies and the preaching of the Word to over 100 people that participated. 15-20 accepted Jesus and afterward others were prayed for before bringing all the children forward for annointed prayers of guidance and protection. Afterwards, the team distributed rice, beans, bread, candy, stuffed animals and marble bags.
On Wednesday, the women joined Miguel to minister in the women’s federal prison where they were able to share their testimonies and pray for their new friends in the facility. While the girls were in prison, more beans and rice were bought and bagged to distribute to those in need. During the afternoon visitation and delivering of beans, rice and peaches to the neighbors, the team visited at Candido’s home, where Victor, Mike and Armando were able to help with mixing and pouring concrete for the foundation of their new home. Later in the evening, the team attended the service at a new church mission that is being started further in the city. The Holy Spirit moved in an annointed time of prayer before the team joined with everyone for Mexican menudo and bread after the service.
Thursday was Linda’s 62nd birthday so the entire family joined in congratulating her. Armando and George traveled to Algodones and purchased anti-biotics that will be taken to Africa in November, while Miguel escorted the women to a service at a local rehab facility. The women were able to share testimonies and pray for the women inside and made friends with Esmerelda, a young 17 year old, that had left the center a month prior but comes back to meet and fellowship with her friends in the rehab. Naturally, Esmerelda and her 2 year old daughter, Hadie, were brought back to the mission home for fellowship and joined us in the evening when we went to the House of Prayer – Fountain of Life Church service. The Holy Spirit moved mightily through the music, the blowing of the shofar and the dancing, even before the sharing of testimonies and the preaching of the Word. Many were touched through healing and deliverance to a fervent time of prayer at the end of the service.
Friday morning, the team had devotions the went to visit Florentina and help clean the “Everyone’s” church building. It was a great morning of sweeping, mopping and sharing God’s love with her and each other. Afterwards, the team enjoyed a great lunch and said their farewell to this charming and dedicated servant of God. In the afternoon, the team visited some of the families that they had ministered to during the week and then drove to some of the fields at the outskirts of town. The main canal that supplies water to the families in outlying cardboard city was dried up, but the team found a watering canal for some of the fields that was pumping water and baptized Lisa, Mike and Sarah. What an awesome and beautiful experience for everyone during our last day in Mexico. Later the team picked up Brenda and her mother and attended and ministered at the Victory Outreach Church service where the Holy Spirit manifested Himself in healings, deliverance, restoration and encouragement. After returning to the mission home, Miguel, Evangelist Eduardo Armenti and his daughter, Wendy, joined with the team as they shared heart-felt thanks and were presented communion by Victor and Elvira before leaving for the USA. The team left at midnight, dropped off Sarah in California and arrived back in Washington early Sunday morning.

July 24 – August 1

Troy Holland, Dina Wilkins, Ira Blackstock, Cody Howell, Destiny Azbil, David Grove, and George Henson formed a mob and drove the 1500 miles to Mexico to minister there, but not without much preparation. Thank you for all that made the trip possible: Dale Robertson for helping prepare the 15 passenger van (graciously borrowed from Clear Lake Community Church) that towed the trailer containing donated tools, toys, clothes, office supplies, baseball equipment, hardware and bathroom supplies. Also, thanks for all who helped with the car washes and getting team members legal for border crossings. Each day had a morning ‘devotion’, along with any given number of visitors in the Harvest Home. Work done included: unloading the trailer, bagging rice and beans, and repairing Brenda’s roof. The team ministered to local churches, helped with two local outreaches, visited rehab centers, ministered at the prison, babysat, played soccer, made clothes in the sewing ministry, visited families, cooked with Elvira, encouraged the troopers doing so much work all the time in San Luis, and went and got baptized in the canal. From San Luis the team picked up the Larios family of five in Arizona and Alex’s Aunt Teresa in California, dropped Teresa off with family in Oregon, and finished the drive to Washington with the Larios family, who will stay and minister in Washington for about two weeks. Even with all the miraculous stuff that really only Jesus gets all the credit for, it’s safe to say that the team was probably more blessed than anything during this trip. Everything from words of encouragement from the Pastors, apostles, prophets, and evangelists there, to even nights where team members shared words, the freedom of spirit and opportunities to hear from the Holy Spirit was either pretty new to most of the team or a fresh reminder of who He really is, and what He is really like. The prayer is that the fresh outpour of His Spirit continues to pour-out and burn within the teams hearts, and that it spread like wildfire to all within each individuals’ spheres of influence. A special prayer and thanks to all who hosted the team in San Luis, and to all who make these trips possible. Let us not limit God nor harden our hearts to His voice today or any day. Today is the day of salvation and any day we stop needing Jesus, at least a little more than the last day, is the day we risk eternity without HIM.

July 16-19, 2010

George and Bobby Kelley flew to Yuma and were picked up by Katie’s mom, Lynette, and then went to Alex and Julie Larios’ new apartment in San Luis, AZ. They rode with them to the mission home in San Luis and met with Victor, Elvira and the woman and 2 children that are staying at the mission home. While shopping at one of the local grocery stores, Bobby was led to pray for a number of individuals and some received healings. Later in the evening the worship trailer was at a brother’s home in cardboard city and Alex and Julie and their boys led worship and Candido, Bobby and Victor ministered. Eight people were saved and many more were healed, delivered or had relationships restored. On Saturday, they were with the church family in the men’s federal prison for the presenting of the trophies for the 8th annual sports tournament and crusade. The Holy Spirit moved some to accept Jesus and others to come forward and be ministered to. The church in the prison is now having 16 services every week. Later in the evening, we joined Miguel for sharing in a feeding ministry in cardboard city and a Bible study with one of the leaders in a local rehab. On Sunday morning, we met and prayed for a pastor and some men from two different church families that came to borrow the ministry van and bus for picking up people for their morning worship service and then went and prayed for Candido’s family and ministry in cardboard city and at Brenda’s, a young crippled neighbor, that lives near the mission home. We were able to join Alex, Julie and the boys for the morning church service at their home and then go visit the sight of the new feeding ministry and worship center they are building. In the evening, Bobby was invited to preach and minister at the Victory Outreach Church, where many people were touched by the Holy Spirit and some received physical healings. On Monday morning, Bobby preached at the church service in the men’s federal prison and the men prayed and anointed Bobby for his work as the coordinator for Harvest Vision Ministries Africa.

June 27, 2010

Lately there has been a lot of blessings here. Leaders of the Church El Buen Pastor (Pastor Ruben Lomeli) are practicing worship (music) here at the mission home and the worship trailer is a very effective tool for equipping the saints to go and finish the work. This takes place every Monday and Tuesday. Please have Jose Cobarubias (worship team leader) and his worship team in prayer.  Our plan is to support them and equip and encourage them. Also be praying for the future Sunday services at the mission in the evenings with these awesome servants. We have also been showing the Manny Montez video here in the neighborhood and many of the Diablos, a local gang, have been watching. Meanwhile this effective tool is reaching the youth in gang areas of San Luis, Mexico. The next place is Palmiras housing development, again to reach in the most gang related areas of the city for Jesus to reach the lost. This last Thursday, 24th of June, Pastor Joel Domingues and Harvest Vision went along side JEM missions to have a service at Ejido Cheke #2 where Pastor Joel (Hombre De Galilea-Church) preached and served in worship with his two children, Alan bass player and Kaila drums, and the result was 8 youth gave their lives to our Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST. Also, our little friend Oscar is know in Puebla, Mexico back home with his mother. Today we are teaming up with a Profetic pentecostal ministry,  Evangelist-Eduardo Armenta, that is going to have the worship trailer on Revolution and 33. We are also taking care of Elizabeth and her two children, Jose Miguel and Dana Paola. Our next step is that she is going to go for an interview so keep her in prayer. Thank you so much for your donations, help and prayers. It helps to reach the lost and to meet the needs of the poor. Attention, your servant, Victor, a slave to Christ.

Mexico Testimony May 2010

The Lord is working in many ways in San Luis, weather small or big, as long as the Lord Jesus Christ is magnified in all things. As each of us is blessed then we are to pass the blessing along to others. As Christ has loved us we are to love others.

Gabe and Angie Fields felt led of the Holy Spirit to give their Honda to Victor and Elvira Lopez. It was a huge blessing for them to have a good car so they can continue to minister to the people of San Luis. Much of there ministry is city wide and they drive long distances. During that time our good friend Connie Moreno was praying for a vehicle so she could pick up the people in her neighborhood and take them to church. God answered her prayer. The red van that Harvest had was given to Connie as a gift so she can be used of God to bring people to Jesus. What a blessing from heaven that God meets and supplies all of our needs and answers our prayers.

Alex and Julie Larios have also been blessed by God. 7 years ago Alex was deported. Julie and the boys who are U.S citizens came to Mexico to be with Alex. They chose to follow Jesus Christ and serve Him where God had put them but they had faith that all things are possible and applied for his papers so he could go back in the U.S. It is a great miracle of God that Alex has his papers. It is unheard of that someone who has been deported only 7 years ago would get there papers so soon but God was on there side. Now God has opened the door for them to minister in the U.S, California, Washington and every where else God calls them. Today Alex, Julie and I (Elisabeth) drove to El Centro, California where Alex used my car to take his drivers test to get his drivers license. He passed the test and now has his license. It is amazing to see what God is doing. Praise the Lord.

D.I.F is an organization in Mexico that helps troubled youth find short term shelter before taking them to be with there families. D.I.F sent Oscar to live in the Harvest Vision Mission Home 1 month ago. Harvest Vision has been blessed by Oscar who is 16 years old. He is from Puebla (South Mexico).Victor has taken him under his wing and ministered to him. He has gone to church and has heard the gospel and seen the love of Jesus. He accepted Jesus as his savior and has recently been baptized. Now when he goes back to Puebla he will be able to take the message of Jesus Christ and all he learned and experienced back to his tribe. Who knows how many more lives will be touched through this. God has a great plan. So we give God the glory for all he has done and all he will do. For it is the Lords work not ours and He is the one who has done all these wonderful things. God bless you all.

May 3-10 2010 San Luis Mexico

ChehalisValley and drove to San Luis, Mexico. We arrived in Mexico on the evening of the fourth.

Mexico and stayed a few days with us. They went to church with us at Manantial de Vida where George preached and Victor translated. Many hearts were touched by the presence of God. The team visited with many families while in Mexico. They visited Brenda, Moises’s family, Isreal and Karla’s family and with Pastor Jose and his wife Consuelo.

BenitoJuarezPark to do street evangelism. We passed out Bibles and got to share the gospel with many people. 5 people accepted Jesus in the park and we prayed for them and encouraged them. Moises, Angie and I also did door to door evangelism and passed out bibles, toothbrushes, soaps and lotions. We met a lady named Alma and told her the gospel and she accepted Jesus as her Savior.

Tucson to visit our friends at Goshen Ministries. This ministry helps the African Refugees. When we arrived we had dinner at the Goshen House and fellowshipped with Bigimba and Barbara. The next day Linda, Dina and I joined the African women in a bible study where we shared testimonies and sang beautiful songs in Swahili. Later that night we had a meeting with Bigimba to talk about ministry. During the Sunday church service George preached and Bigimba translated. Dina got to sing a song in Swahili and her and David shared there testimonies. Afterward the entire congregation went to the Goshen house and ate a traditional African meal. We spent much time in prayer and worship while at Goshen and we could all feel the presence of God.

Mexico while the team the left. George will be in Mexico until May 25.

Puebla.

April San Luis, Mx (Victor)

April 9th-11th, the worship trailer, was used for a three day evangelistic campaign with Emmanuel Church at Bugambilias and 37th where 29 people came to our Lord Jesus Christ. The trailer was also used in the morning at a local church, Berea, for an evangelistic campaign and 31 people came to our Lord Jesus Christ. Later, we (the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit and I) were invited by Pastor Joel Dominguez from the El Hombre de Galilea Church to join him and hosts a team from the USA that had come to help construct a building. He invited me to come along side him and help. We also used the worship trailer at the park from the 12th-15th for evening outreaches. April 16th-19th, the worship trailer was at Bugambilias and 37th for another evangelistic campaign and 33 people came to our Lord Jesus Christ. On April 23rd, the white van and small bus went to the Golfo de Santa Clara with the Berea Church and 3 people were baptized. On the evening of the 23rd, the worship trailer was at Mazatlan and 33rd for a small crusade and 22 came to our Lord Jesus Christ. April 24th in the morning at the edge of the city by the canal 3 people were saved. On April 24th, in the evening, the worship trailer was at the Berea Church for another evangelistic campaign and 9 more people came to Jesus Christ.

We are also caring for a young man from Puebla and a mother that has two toddlers, 1 and 4 years old. The mother is tentatively staying for a short period of time while we work with an apostolic church to get her a new home, pray for her husband to be sober and to get them married. He is at a rehab for now.

As we can see, the fields are ripe for the harvest. That is what our Lord Jesus Christ said and it is a blessing running aside Pastors and Leaders and Ministries that God has given to His workers and that we should value everything that God puts in our hands. Everything is for His glory. Let us not boast about the gifts that we have. Better yet, let us not be blinded in our own knowledge of what we think that we have earned (vanity). Self-righteousness cripples the spirit. For this is what our Lord wants for His true Church. Wash your garments and clean your hearts. Those who have ears, listen to the voice of our Lord. Let us not grow vain, but walk in a humble manner and be a true witness to Christ by being humble. But better, let us rejoice that we all have the greatest gift of all, the love of our Lord Jesus Christ. Let us walk humbly being ever-mindful of the needs of others. Then we will see what drove our Lord to become a man and for Him to be willing to lay down His life for us. THE LORD SAID ONTO ME, TELL MY CHURCH TO TURN AWAY FROM THEIR WAYS AND TO COME TO ME THEIR GOD. FOR I COME SOONER THAN MANY THINK. WASH YOUR ROBES AND CLEAN YOUR HOUSE. PUT OIL IN YOUR LANTERNS FOR THE TIME IS NEAR ....

 April 5-11, 2010

Easter day was nothing less than eventful in San Luis. First we received the news of the teams' accident on the way back to Washington, then at about 4pm there was an earthquake. As we went around to check on our neighbors, God was calling us to do more than visit our friends who were shaken by the 7.2 magnitude quake. Monday Alex and Julie got in contact with DIF a government agency in San Luis to see how we could help. Most people from the surrounding areas of Mexicali had evacuated and came to stay in the park and were being taken care of. But not all chose to leave or had the ability to leave and were still without power or water in the villages. We prayed and joined with a few pastors in San Luis and Katie from Yuma and decided to gather stuff and go out to where most people wouldn't. The truck was packed with donations of food, water, blankets, diapers, and soaps to take to everyone whose homes were destroyed and had decided to camp out in Ejido Durango, the earthquakes epicenter. It was shocking to see everything crumbled and flooded. Even without power, we enjoyed a night of worship and fellowship with them in the camp before unloading all the supplies for them to separate and distribute to other camps in the area. The Larios family, Katie and I returned with more supplies on Wednesday and to offer a ride to anyone who wanted to find shelter in San Luis. An 18 year old boy decided to come and is staying with Alex and Julie trying to find a job. Groups will continue to visit these people and villages with supplies, but they have also offered shelter in San Luis so they can start there lives over. The "Pan De Vida" church has opened it's doors to anyone who is wants to relocate. Please pray for all of our new friends and for everyone who is being affected by the earthquakes that are still occurring daily.

San Luis Mexico March 27-April 3 2010

Greetings Friends and Family, this is Elisabeth Angell. Linda Henson, Kylee Wilman, Madilyn Delgado, David Grove, and Corbin LaCount drove to San Luis, Mexico and arrived on March 27. It was an awesome week of ministry and many lives came to know Jesus.

While the team was here we visited the church families at Pan de Vida, Manantial de Vida and Centro de Sueños.

David spent lots of time with Miguel Tapia. They went to the Prison two times to minister to the men and David, Moises and I went to the C.R.E.D.A 1 RehabCenter with Miguel to minister to the men and women.

Linda, Kylee, Julie Larios and I went to minister to the women in the all women’s RehabCenter. Julie led the women into worship and all the women sang. Linda, Julie and I gave our testimonies and shared the word of God with the women. Julie was our interpreter and a great blessing to us. We prayed for the women and five of them gave there hearts to Jesus Christ.

David also spent time with Victor and helped him and Omar put a tarp on top of Brenda’s house. When it rains the entire kitchen gets soaked and that is the room that Brenda is always in. A day after the tarp got put on her roof it rained. The tarp was such a blessing to Brenda and her family and now they can stay dry when it rains.

The team went with Alex and Julie Larios and their boys to the BenitoJuarezPark to do evangelism. We split up into teams and walked around the park passing out Bibles. We got to minister to many people. 3 people accepted Jesus as their savior and 2 people rededicated there lives to the Lord. It was an awesome day of ministry telling people about Jesus Christ.

Victor set up an outreach for the team in Chula VistaPark. We took lots of games for the kids, cars, bean bags, jump ropes, bowling pins, football and basketballs for the kids to play with. After the games we had all the kids sit down and shared the gospel with them and told them about the love of Jesus. Eight children accepted Jesus into there hearts.

The sewing room has been busy lately. Kylee, Moises and I worked in the sewing room with Clara and Flor Jaime. They made blankets and pillow cases.

Corbin, Brandon, Steven and Matthew invited the neighborhood kids over to play soccer in the street. Many kids came and afterward they played video games with Corbin.

On the last night we made hot dogs and invited many people over to eat and fellowship and listen to the band play music on the worship trailer. It was a great week of ministry in San Luis.

Saturday I will drive back to Washington with Linda, David and Corbin. I will be there for 1 month. Kylee and Madilyn will stay in San Luis to help with the ministry for one more week and then fly back to Washington

San Luis Mexico March 24, 2010

Greetings Friends and Family, this is Elisabeth Angell from Harvest Vision. Things in San Luis have been busy as usual.

Victor and Elvira have been busy ministering to the children. They have spent lots of time with the neighborhood kids playing video games with them, giving them food and a safe place to hang out, showing them the love of Jesus. They have also been going to an Ejido every Tuesday to teach Sunday school to the children. The Worship Trailer has been used and this last week 30 people were saved and another 300 people saved at a small crusade at the Bosque.

Miguel is busy ministering in the prison where 2 people recently accepted Jesus Christ as Savior. Miguel and his brother Jesse have also been going to a feeding ministry and praying for people and many hearts are being touched by the Holy Spirit. Last time they went to the feeding ministry the presence of God touched an elderly lady and she received deliverance and God set her free. Miguel’s wife Lorena had her baby shower. Lorena’s family and Miguels family came and it was a blessing for her. Miguel and Lorena went to Manantial de Vida Iglesia where Pastora Consuelo, and the other ladies from the church prayed for her and she was powerfully touched by God. The next day Pastora Consuelo and her daughter Karla, and I went to visit Lorena in her home and had a great day of fellowship and ministry with Lorena.

I have been busy in the sewing room. It has been full of women and children. Connie and her family have been using the sewing room. And Connie has been teaching the other women how to use the sewing machines. I have also been working with Alex and Julies boys in the sewing room. We invited about 10 neighbor hood kids to the sewing room and shared the gospel message with them and we watched a movie about how God created the world and the story of Adam and Eve. None of those kids had been to church before and were not saved. They probably heard of the love of Jesus for the first time. After the bible lesson we took the kids in the sewing room and they painted and colored and made necklaces and bracelets. It was a great day of ministry with the kids. My friend Moises and I have been visiting many families in San Luis. We have been praying for them and ministering to them. A group of Missionaries from Montana came to San Luis with ECHO Ministry. The week they were in town Moises and I worked with them. It was a great week of ministry and it was such a blessing to see my good friend John Dodd. We helped ECHO with a health fair, outreach in the park, ministry with the kids, at the women’s rehab center, and at the women’s conference. Moises helped out at the orphanage and got to be the interpreter for the team. We also did door to door evangelism. This was such a beautiful week of ministry and about 30 souls came to salvation this week.

Mexico February 15, 2010

Greetings brothers and sisters in Christ, this is Elisabeth Angell. On February first I drove to Pheonix, Arizona to pick up George Henson and his granddaughters Kylee and Madilyn at the airport. The next day Kylee, Madilyn and I drove to Yuma, Arizona to pick up Katie and Malika Pilgrin. All of us had a great week of ministry in San Luis Mexico.
The girls and I spent lots of time in the sewing room. Connie Moreno came and taught Sophia and Clara how to sew on the sewing machines. They made scarfs and hats and sewed some curtains. Brandon, Steven and Mathew Larios came to the sewing room and helped teach the neighborhood kids how to make bracelets with beads and they shared the gospel message with them. Brandon also taught the kids how to sew by hand. The kids also painted blocks and colored.
We were blessed by Elvira and Rosarios cooking. They made Tortilla’s, Tamalies, Pozoli, Mole. All these foods were a blessing to many because every day the house was full of people coming for fellowship and good food. We also spent time visiting many families in the neighborhood.
We went to Pan De Vida feeding ministry and helped prepare and serve the food to about 50 children. George preached at Centro de Suenos and Montana de Dios Iglesia.
DIF, which is part of the government, has asked Harvest Vision Ministries to house young kids that have been taken out of there home because there home life is not good. DIF sent a young kid, 16 years old to the Harvest Vision Mission Home. He stayed with us for about 4 days and during that time Victor and George ministered to him and told him about Jesus and he accepted Jesus as his savior right at the kitchen table. God is so awesome! On February 9, I drove George, Kylee and Madilyn to the airport.
Victor Lopez has been busy working with many Pastors in San Luis and ministering to them. Many Pastors and there wives have come to the Mission Home for prayer and fellowship. Many Pastors come who we have never met before and new relationships are being built. Victor has also been helping the Pastors with campaigns, outreaches and church plants. Victor has also taught a bible study at his brothers house. He has also been ministering to the neighborhood kids. They have been spending lots of time at the house watching movies and hanging out. It is a safe house that the kids in the neighborhood come to and experience the love of Jesus.
Miguel Tapia is still ministering every Monday in the Prison and at the rehab centers with his brother Jesse and friend Oscar. Lately Miguel has spent time with the Pastors at Manantial de Vida Iglesia. He preached at a Revival they had and many hearts were touched by the presence of God.
Hector (the pastors son at Manantial de Vida), Moises and I went to the Benito Juarez Park to do some street Evangelism and pass out Bibles. We talked to many people about Jesus and 2 people accepted Jesus as there savior. One of the men that accepted Jesus as his savior told us his wife and kids left him and he was planning on sleeping in the park that night. Moises felt led of the Holy Spirit to invite the man to his house to sleep. So we drove to Moises house and gave the man something to eat and gave him some blankets and pillow. We shared the word of God with him and this man was crying. God was touching his heart. The next day the man left but I know God sent us to the park for a reason and seeds were planted in his life and he did receive Jesus in his heart. I also did a volley ball and soccer outreach with the church family at Manantial de Vida. We took the volley ball and soccer ball to the park and played for several hours. It was a lot of fun and a blessing to them. I have also been spending lots of time with Kimberly Silva and Lorena Tapia.
Keep praying for the word of God to spread in Mexico and that man more lives will come to salvation. God Bless You All!!

more lives will come to salvation. God Bless You All!!

Victor has preached at Ejido Lagunitas, Ejido Escondido and at El Buen Pastor spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. Vino y Aciete church had a miracle campaign and Victor and Elvira went to help support the work God is doing in that church. Victor has also spent time ministering to the Pastors. Pastor Joel Domingez, of El Hombre de Galilea, was very ill and was unable to move his body. He went to the hospital and Victor prayed for him and he was healed. That is the healing power of God. The movie Passion of the Christ was shown to the church family at El Hombre de Galilea and many hearts were touched by God. Victor has also been helping Daniel Rubio build on to his house and helped his brother Raymond find a job. Miguel is still ministering at the men’s prison and the rehab centers. On Monday nights he ministers at the C.R.E.D.A 1 Rehab center to Men and Women struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. God is reaching out to the people in San Luis with Addiction letting them know there is a better way with Jesus Christ. Pastor Fidel and Kimberly Silva and I have been busy working with E.C.H.O ministries. They are a group from Montana that comes to Mexico to build houses to bless the people here. The men went and visited the new rehab center just down the street from the mission home. That evening we all went to Centro de Suenos Church. Pastor Fidel Silva prayed over Katie and dedicated her baby Malika to the Lord. George preached and Victor translated. Many hearts were touched by God and a girl was delivered from an evil spirit that was tormenting her life. Praise God! Monday the guys went to Prison to minister to the men and the girls filled some fabric bags full of evangelism flyers, soaps, lotions and shampoo. These bags were hand made by Rosario and her friend and Connie in the sewing room. Harvest Vision would like to thank all the people that donated soaps, shampoo and lotions. They were a blessing to many people. We also filled ziplock bags full of rice and beans to pass out to the people in San Luis. A few days after we prayed we saw the family again and the baby was healed. Praise God! We also gave this family some candles because they have not had electricity for 1 month. The candles were donated by Susie Brazee and Robert LaCount. That evening the team went to Florentina’s Church. Each person in the team shared testimonies and George preached on love and forgiveness.  November 2009 San Luis, Mexico

Greetings Brothers and Sisters in Christ, this is Elisabeth Angell. Randy Phillips from Manitoba, Canada heard the call from God to go to Mexico. So he came to San Luis on November 20, and stayed in the Mission Home with Victor, Elvira and I for almost 3 weeks. His main purpose was to look at the empty building on 17th Street near the Canal. It was supposed to be a free Medical Clinic but the plans fell through and now it is just an empty building. Randy felt in his heart to come and see what he could do to the building in hopes of completing the vision of the free clinic.

While he was here he did many things. Alex, Julie and I took Randy on a tour of San Luis by the canal to see the poor living conditions and we visited a few families that had no water or electricity. Randy, Victor, and I went to many different Churches and Randy got to speak to many Pastors. We went to Manantial de Vida, Fuego y Agua, El Buen Pastor, Man of Galilea, New Jerusalem Mission, Alex and Julies feeding ministry and Victory Outreach. Randy and Victor spent time visiting Pastors in the community and praying for them. They visited with Pastor Ruben Lomeli, Pastor of El Buen Pastor. While there a school teacher came by and told them that 40 children needed school supplies and they didn't have the money to help them. So Randy went out with Pastor Ruben and Randy bought all the supplies the kids needed. What a blessing Randy was to those children. Randy, Victor and Pastor Juan from Vino y Aceite Iglesia did an outreach with the worship trailer and 7 people received Jesus Christ as there Savior. Randy and Victor visited New Jerusalem Mission with Pastora Karmen and Randy gave his testimony to many people who have not heard the Gospel and about 30 people came to the altar and accepted Jesus Christ as there Savior. Randy and Victor also went to 2 Church Unity services where many Pastors and church leaders gathered together for worship and prayer. Randy, Victor and Miguel went to Prison and ministered to the men and the power of God fell and many hearts and lives were touched. Randy has also visited the empty building with Juan Mannuel and started to clean it up and realized it will take a lot of work and finances to get the building going.

On December 1 I drove to Pheonix to pick up 2 other guys, Rob Welch an Evangelist and Zane Hart a youth Pastor from Missouri. They stayed at the Mission Home for 1 day and they went to Pastors Prayer in the morning and then to prison with Miguel and ministered to the men. After Prison they went with Victor to visit some Pastors to share there vision of coming back to San Luis to do a city wide Evangelism crusade. Victor, Elvira, and I took Rob and Zane to many different locations in San Luis that could be places to do a big crusade. We showed them the basket ball gym, the baseball stadium and El Bosque Park. We prayed together to see where God would want them to have the crusade. They are also thinking about bringing a youth group to the Mission Home on a Missions trip and other people on Missions trips. That evening we all headed out with the Worship trailer to Juan Jaime's property in cardboard city. Rob preached a great message and about 8 people received salvation. The morning of December 3 Victor, Elvira, Rob, Zane and I went to a Pastors prayer meeting. There were about 30 Pastors there from San Luis and Rob spoke and shared there vision about doing a city wide crusade. Many Pastors were in agreement and excited about the idea. After that I drove the guys back to the airport.

On December 4th John West, also from Manitoba, Canada was at the Mission Home. He is friends with Randy and they attend the same church. John stayed in San Luis at the Mission Home for 3 days. He was only planning on staying 1 night and the next day he left and drove to the border. When he got there he said the Holy Spirit stopped him and told him to turn around go back to the Mission Home. So he stayed for 3 days and visited a few churches and spent time in fellowship with people and talked to some Pastors. Monday the 7th Randy and John left for Canada. We were very blessed to have Randy, John, Rob and Zane stay at the Mission Home. It was a lot of fun and they were a blessing to many people.

While Randy was at the Mission Home, Randy, Moises and I went to Benito Juarez Park to do street evangelism. A young guy about 24 years old came up to us and tried to sell us some gum. We said we had no money but we have Jesus and Jesus loves him and we handed him a gospel tract. As he walked away he read the tract. I felt the Holy Spirit tell me to "call him back and have him sit with you". So I called the young man, named Victor, and told him to sit with us. We ministered to him for 2 hours. We read scriptures together and prayed for him and in the end he said "I believe it, I want Jesus". So we led him in the prayer of salvation and he invited Jesus in his heart. It was getting late so we drove him home and got his contact info in hopes of staying in contact with him and connecting him to a church.

I have been spending a lot of time in the sewing room lately with Rosario, Esmerelda and other ladies from the community. Right now they are working on making bags to fill with soap, shampoo and lotion to give out at Christmas time with some evangelism flyers to bless the people of San Luis.

I also made my very first Turkey on Thanksgiving for Centro de Sueños Iglesia. I helped the people at the church clean, and set up tables and chairs. Randy and I went that evening and the church was full, about 60 people came. Pastor Eddie from the Rehab Center preached and many people gave testimonies and sang. Everyone ate a good Thanksgiving meal.

God Bless you all. Elisabeth

November 9, 2009

Greetings brothers and sisters in Christ. Sunday November first George and I (Elisabeth) drove to the Yuma airport to pick up three Evangelists that came to San Luis Mexico and stayed in the Mission Home. There names are Christian Holst from Washington, Rob Welch from Missouri and Robbie Senti from Chicago. Harvest Vision was very blessed to meet these three guys. The next day they helped plan an outreach in card board city with the worship trailer with Manantial de Vida Church. Robbie Senti and Christian were on the worship team with Hector and Israel. Rob preached a message of Jesus, the cross and salvation and Victor translated. Rob also got to preach at Florentina’s church while Robbie, Christian and I met Miguel and Oscar at the C.R.E.D.A 1 Rehab Center. Robbie played the guitar and every one sang worship music and Christian got to preach. Miguel translated. The power and presence of God fell in that place and about 6 people in the rehab center came to the front and accepted Jesus and there savior. Much time was spent at the Mission Home and the Evangelists got to meet many Pastors in San Luis and help minister to them. They also talked to them about coming back to San Luis to meet more Pastors and have a Crusade. They also went to prison with Miguel and Oscar. Rob Welch preached in the prison and they each gave testimonies. After prison George and I drove them to the airport. We were so blessed to have these guys with us for a few days. It was a blessing to many people and many lives were touched and heard the gospel of Jesus Christ. After we dropped the guys off at the airport George and I drove to Lynnette and Thor’s house to have dinner and fellowship. I got to meet Katie for the first time and it was nice to talk about how God called us to the mission field and what God is doing in our lives. Chains Broken was held at Victory Outreach and Miguel Tapia preached. The entire offering at Chains Broken goes to the church in the prison to help the prisoners and 450 pesos was raised. George and I went to the feeding ministry that Alex and Julie started at the Resturant. They fed about 50 women and children and will do this every Saturday. Pastor Jose, his son Hector and son in-law Israel came to use the mechanics ministry and worked on Israel’s car. That night George preached at Casa de Oracion Church. The power of God fell in that place and there were about 4 salvations and many deliverances. George also preached at Manantial de Vida Church and Centro de Suenos. An elderly lady came to the Mission Home and told us about how she helps many families and ministers to them and disciple them in a near by Ejido. So I took her to see Alex and Julie. She told us they needed food and school supplies for the kids. So Alex and Julie gave her eggs, oil, and a big bag of rice and beans. And then I showed her the sewing room. She took some material to make a skirt and to make curtains for the church. We prayed together and it was an answer to her prayer.

 Mexico Report October 16-October 31

Greeting brothers and sisters in Christ, this is Elisabeth Angell. Friday October 23, George Henson drove to San Luis Mexico. On Sunday George and I drove to Tucson, Arizona and George preached at Goshen Church. Many people came to the altar and were touched by God. After the service we went to the Goshen House where Robert LaCount and his grandparents met us. Everyone shared testimonies of How God is working in there lives and we all ate and prayed together. George, Robert and I drove back to San Luis that day. The next day we spent time with Alex and Julie, Miguel Tapia, Connie Moreno and her kids and grandchildren. Later that night Sophia Ramirez called me and asked for a ride to the doctor because her daughter was very sick. So Robert and I drove her to the doctor and afterward George, Robert and I prayed for her daughter and anointed her with oil. The next day Sophia said her daughter was much better. Praise God for His healing power. The next day was very busy. Connie, her sons Nick and Miguel and there kids came to the Mission Home for breakfast. The guys spent time in the garage and Connie spent time in the sewing room. She looked through all the recently donated material and took some home with her to make curtains and some clothes. Robert and I spent time with the kids in the sewing room painting blocks and doing arts and crafts and afterward the kids played baseball with Vanessa and Juan Ramon. Robert was a blessing to all the children he met in San Luis. That evening Alex came by the Mission Home and told us that Sophia Ramirez has no electricity so Robert, Alex and I went to the store and bought her some candles. We also took her a flash light and some lighters. Sophia and her husband Carlos were very happy. After we left her house God gave Robert the idea to buy a big bag of rice and beans and take it to Sophia and her husband and have them give out the rice and beans to there neighbors. God confirmed this in all of us and we had peace that this was the direction of the Lord. So the next day George and I purchased 2 90lb bags of rice and beans. Sophia lives way out in card board city, the poorest part of San Luis. Alex, Julie, Robert and I took it to Sophia. We told her we felt God wanted to give her the rice and beans to give to her neighbors. It would open the door for her and her husband to minister to the people and show them the love of Jesus. Sophia told us she was praying for God to give her an opportunity to serve but she didn’t know how. God answered her prayer. Carlos her husband said he wants to start passing out Evangelism flyers with the rice and beans. This is discipleship. George, Robert and I spent the day fishing with Nick and Miguel in the canal. Miguel caught 1 fish but threw it back. The point of the fishing trip was not the fish but the fellowship and spending time with these guys showing them the love of Jesus. George, Robert and I went to Alex and Julies church and visited with a Pastor from California. On Thursday October 29, George and I drove Robert to the airport in San Diego. Miguel came to the house and helped George and I minister to 3 young girls, Esmerelda, Maria and Miranda. We told them about Jesus, prayed for them and fed them dinner. The word of God is being spread in San Luis.
Victor and Elvira have been very busy helping with the Worship Trailer. The Worship Trailer went to card board city with Daniel Rubio and Dios Vivo Iglesia. A man from Hermosillo preached. Elvira got to talk to the pastors wives. The Worship Trailer has been out to the Cocopah Indian Reservation 2 times. Joel Domingez, Pastor from EL Hombre de Galileo Iglesia preached and led worship. The Worship Trailer was also out with Juan Jaime in card board city. About 100 or more people showed up to hear worship, a puppet show and the word of God. Victor and Elvira went to a feeding ministry and helped deliver food in card board city with help from Victor Vega. Victor has spent time in the Mechanics Ministry helping people work on there cars. He has also spent time with Rosarios sons. Him and Elvira minister to many Pastors and church leaders.
I am still going to the all womens rehab with Tonita every Wednesday. I also got to preach at the Manantial de Vida Iglesia and play volley ball with the church family. I went to a womens conference with the Pastors wife and other women from the Manantial de Vida Iglesia. The Manantial de Vida Iglesia took Brenda a wheel chair to bless her and they are still taking her to church.
Alex and Julie started church services every Sunday at 10 in the restaurant. They also are teaching bible studies in people homes every week. They are still working on the property building some bathrooms and a kitchen for a feeding ministry. God is using them in a mighty way.
Miguel is still going to Prison and the Rehab Centers. God is answering his prayers for his mother. She was powerfully touched by God and God is working in her life.

San Luis Mexico, Mexico August 25-September 8, 09

Dios Te Bendiga brothers and sisters in Christ. This is Elisabeth Angell. We have had a wonderful two weeks with George Henson and Adam Waldron in Mexico. I drove to Pheonix, Arizona with my friend Julie Larios on August 25 and picked up George and Adam at the airport. The next morning Alva Ruth and her kids came to the Mission Home and visited with us. The ministry gave her kids some school supplies, paper and pencils. They were very happy. George and Adam spent some time working on the small bus and the air compressor and now both of them are working well. That evening we drove to Yuma and visited with Lynette and Thor Toepher. There daughter is living in Africa as a missionary and they have become good friends of the ministry. When we got back to the Mission Home Miguel, Lorena, Mickey and Daniel Tapia came by to visit and we celebrated George’s 62 Birthday. We had dinner together and Birthday cake for desert. It was a lot of fun. The next day George, Adam and me prayed for Rosario because her knee was in a lot of pain. Afterward I asked her how her knee was and she told me it felt a lot better. That night George preached at Centro de Sueños and we saw the presence of God touch the lives of the people. George and Adam spent time working in the garage and I spent time with Rosario and taught her how to make Chile Rellenos. Then George, Adam and I went to visit Connie, a lady who lives out by card board city. We visited with her and prayed for her new grandchild who was just a few days old. After we left Connie’s we drove to see Brenda. Adam brought the guitar and he and I sang Brenda some worship songs. She doesn’t go to church but she loves it when people come and worship with her. She sings along and has so much Joy. That evening Rosario’s entire family came to the Mission Home to celebrate Rosario’s daughters Birthday. Her name is Vanessa and she is 6 years old. After the Birthday party was over Adam and I went to Alex and Julie Larios house. We were practicing music for an up coming out reach. Adam plays the guitar, Alex plays the key board, Alex’s 11 year old son plays the drums and there 12 year old son plays bass and Julie sings. So we spent several hours at there house practicing and worshiping. It was awesome! The next day George, Adam and Miguel went to a RehabCenter and prayed for a man who was very ill but the cry of his heart was not for his own healing but for the salvation of his family. What a testimony. When the guys got back to the house Evangelist Victor and his family, and Hector who is a Pastors son came to the Mission Home and had lunch. We all spent time in fellowship, prayer and worship. That night George preached at El Emmanuel Church. George, Victor, and Miguel prayed for the people after the service and many lives were touched by God. George also preached at El Beuen PastorChurch and 21 people accepted Jesus as there savior. We took the worship trailer out to card board city for an out reach and Adam was on the worship team with the Larios Family. Many people came to listen to the worship music, watched the puppet show, and the skits and listened to Alex and Julies 11 year old son preach and tell people about Jesus. Several people went to the altar for prayer. Julie gave the kids some bracelets she made. The next day George, Adam and Miguel went to prison and they ministered to and prayed for the men. Later that evening we drove to Yuma again to visit with Lynette and Thor and have dinner. The next day we went to visit a man named Panchito who started several rehab centers and has a heart to help the people in rehab. We prayed for Panchito and encouraged him in the work God has called him to. George, Adam and I also went to the Centro de Sueños Rehab center. I got to share the gospel with a guy and encourage him. They told us they needed a toilet and a sink for the bathroom. So we went back to the house and got the toilet and sink that were in the garage. The men in the rehab center were so happy. It was a real blessing to them. September 2 was Julie Larios 29th Birthday. So the entire family came over and I made a cake. Alex took Julie out for her Birthday so George, Adam and I watched the kids. We played games, made bracelets and necklaces and I taught them how to crotchet and now they are making scarf’s. The next day George, Adam and I drove to Agadones to buy medicine for Mexico and Africa. And we went and visited a small church in card board city called Jehova Sama Mission. The Pastors are Eladio and Margarita Olivera Valencia and they have only been living in Mexico for 1 year doing missions. We also went and visited Alva Ruth at her house and gave her some rice and beans. George, Adam, Eladio, Margarita and I went to Miguels house for prayer and fellowship. Adam taught Mickey how to play the guitar. He also taught Adrian and Isaul how to play the guitar also. Adams gift of playing the guitar and singing was a blessing to many. On September 5 George, Adam and I drove to Tucson, Arizona and stayed the night. We met with Pastor Bigimba and his helper in the ministry Barbara. He is from Congo, Africa. He came to America with his family and became a Pastor and started GoshenChurch in Tucson. His call is to help African refugees when they come to America. A lot of them end up going to GoshenChurch and get saved. It was such a blessing to meet Bigimba, Barbara and many of the African refugees. We went to the GoshenChurch on Sunday and listened to the African Choir. It was so amazing. After church we went to the Goshen Mission Home and ate a traditional African meal and got to spend time in fellowship with the refugees. We drove back to San Luis on Sunday and Tuesday September 8th I drove George and Adam to the airport. They will be greatly missed but George will be back in San Luis in October. Miguel Tapia is still going to the Prison every Monday and to two rehab centers with his brother Jesse, C.R.E.D.A.1 and C.P.R.A.D. He is also going to the ApostolicChurch on Saturday to minister to the people. Miguel’s sister in-law Tonita is going to an all womens rehab center C.E.I.DA every Wednesday and I have been going to help intercede for the women. Alex and Julie and there kids are being used by God with the worship trailer and are doing many outreaches in card board city spreading the gospel. They are also visiting many families and are working on there property building a church and a kitchen to help feed people.

This is Victor Lopez, for the past few months the Holy Spirit has been leading my wife and I, with the confirmation of my wife, to many Churches. Manantial de Vida, Haciendas Antiguas, Iglesia de Dios en Mexico Lagunitas, Iglesia del Dios Viviente, Iglesia del Dios Vivo, El Buen Pastor, El Hombre de Galilea and to others for the discipline of Pastors, leaders and church families. Jesus said “therefore go, and make disciples, teaching them the truth of the father.” Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is also leading this ministry with the youth of many churches to come together to intercede for the city of San Luis Rio Colorado Sonora, Mexico. Pastors, leaders and ministries are coming together for the healing and restoration of His Church body. Many have renewed there vows to the Lord Jesus Christ along with miracles, signs, and wonders. The Mission home has been the place of blessing where deliverances, healings and restorations and prayer for the body of Christ happens. The tool shed has been used by many Pastors and Evangelists and others when they need supplies like nails, building tools, saws, drills, screws and wood. The welding machine has been very helpful to weld rebar for homes, windows, doors and fences. And the vehicles, the buses and van, are regularly being lent out to Churches. The small bus has been repaired by Evangelist Victor Vega. The big bus was fixed by Juan Jaime, the white van and the other ministry vehicles have been maintenanced by many local churches, checking the tires and oil working around the neighborhood showing and sharing Gods love. Our Lord Jesus Christ provides all our needs to pour out to His body and has been ever mindful to the needs of others.

July 20-August 8, 2009

Victor, Elvira and Elisabeth have been very busy in San Luis. They helped with the worship trailer at an outreach in Cardboard City. Pastor Ruben Lomeli was there with some of the people from the El Buen Pastor Church. The worship trailer was also used at a wedding and Pastor and Evangelist Federico Rojas led the worship music. People from 5 different churches were gathered together for that wedding. The bride asked Elisabeth to walk down the isle during the ceremony and hand them there rings. Elisabeth and Elvira worked together in making copies of the wedding pictures and put them in frames as a gift for the bride and groom. Victor, Elvira, and Elisabeth took Rosario and her kids to a church service near Cardboard City. Federico Rojas preached and afterward the entire church, about 100 people, drove out to the canal and watched a man get baptized. Then every one went back to the church for food and fellowship. At that one place the 5 fold ministry was together, Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers. God is bringing His Church together. Later Victor, Elvira and Elisabeth drove to Federico’s house to visit with him and his family. They anointed him with oil and prayed for him because he just has his third heart attack. Please keep Federico and his family in your prayers. Many Pastors have came to the Mission Home for prayer and fellowship. The power of God has touched them and they have left strengthened to continue to do the work God is calling them to do. Victors family has also came to the Mission Home and wanted prayer. His mom, Concha Lopez had something wrong in her brain, and his sister in-law Marisol has cists in her uterus. Victor and Elisabeth anointed them with oil and prayed for them and they were touched with the healing power of God. Concha said it felt like God touched her head and fixed what was wrong. Marisol said she knew God healed her and she was so happy and thankful to God for healing her. Victor, Elvira and Elisabeth took the white van and picked up a Pastor from Emmanuel Church, his family and some people from his congregation. They drove out to an Ejido to a church for a campaign. Victor and Elvira are still working watering the parks every other day. So it leaves more room for ministry work. Elisabeth has visited with many friends Miguel and Lorena Tapia, Pastor Fidel and Kimberly Silva, Pastor Florentina, Missionaries Thomas and Peidad, and Lupe and Guadalupe and there kids. She has also spent some time with Alex and Julie. They drove out to card board city and visited with a family and gave them bible and got to pray for them. She has spent time in the sewing room with Rosario and other women and children. The kids have been doing arts and crafts and the women have been making skirts, shorts and dresses. God Bless you friends. Keep praying for God to touch the hearts of this city with His presence.

Mexico report July 09

Linda Henson, Chris, Heather, Ezra, Lucy Sanderson, Michael and Melissa Harter and Elisabeth Angell arrived in San Luis Mexico with the trailer full of tarps, toys, clothes, a microwave  and other things to give away to bless the people of Mexico. The next morning George, Michael, Victor and Miguel went to the prison to minister to the men and later they worked on the van. Heather, Ezra, Lucy and Elisabeth sorted the donated toys and put them in gift bags to give away to the kids. That night everyone drove out to card board city. Hundreds of women and children came and heard about Jesus and many accepted Jesus as there Savior. All the toys were passed out and it was a blessing for them. Michael and Ezra spent a lot of time playing baseball and soccer with the neighbor kids. Linda, Melissa, Heather, Elisabeth and Miguel went to the women’s prison. They spent a lot of time talking to the women and gave testimonies to encourage the women in prison, afterward Miguel preached. They prayed for a lady who was in a lot of pain due to arthritis and could not walk on her own. Linda, Heather, Melissa and Elisabeth prayed for her. Heather took a cup of water and poured it over her legs and feet to wash them while they prayed. The woman was very touched by God and said she felt better. She was able to walk by herself after that. That is the power of God. Elisabeth turned 24 on July 1st. Heather made her a birthday dinner and a cake. The house was full of friends and they had a great time of fellowship. The team drove to Agadones to get glasses for Linda and Alex Larios. Rosario and Chindos house is finaly complete. They moved into the house the week the team was there. Everyone went to there new house and prayed for the family and over the house. They gave Rosario some house warming gifts. They are very happy in there new home and will continue to be an important part of the ministry. The team visited Centro de Suenos church and Florentinas church. Please keep Florentina in your prayers, her husband just passed away. On the last night the team was in Mexico they pulled the worship trailer out in the street and had worship, the word of God was shared and a puppet show. Many people from the community came and the men from the Centro de Suenos rehab center came. The team left on July 4th and left Elisabeth in Mexico to help Victor and Elvira with the ministry. George went back to Washington after being in Mexico for 1 month.  After the team left Victor and Elisabeth were busy in the sewing room with a group of young people form the El Jordan Iglesia. They were making costumes and getting ready for a 2 day outreach that will be at a park. They will use the worship trailer and put on a play. They all prayed together and the power of God filled the room. There hearts were touched as God was preparing them for this outreach. Elisabeth went to Yuma, Arizona with Pastor Elfido Montez to take a missionary to the bus station. He had been traveling all over Mexico for several months. After they left the bus station they went to a store and bought supplies for El Comedor feeding ministry. Victor, Elvira and Elisabeth went and visited with missionaries Thomas and Piedad and prayed with them.

 Mexico, June 09

We have had two outreaches with the worship trailer, one at a residence, with Centro de Suenos (Pr Fidel) and one at Centro Familiar Fe y Esperanza (A/G Pr Martin). Awesome move of the Holy Spirit, with people making first time decisions, healing and deliverance. The nights included music, puppets, testimony, drama, preaching, prayer and Veggietales. We have ordered a bigger bass amp, and will sell the smaller one that is in the trailer. Everything else is working great and the trailer is already scheduled for some outreaches in July. We moved the trailer hitch off the small yellow bus and have everything on the white van ready to use for moving the trailer.

Isaul, Chindo & Rosario’s 19 year old son, graduated from high school and we were able to attend the ceremony. Isaul is officially, with keys, the automotive maintenance man (as well as other things as well). The windows and new light fixtures have been installed and hopefully they will move in to their new home next to the mission home before the team leaves the first part of July. They still won’t have kitchen cabinets or sinks, but Rosario is determined. She has waited her whole life and never had a home without a dirt floor. We are thankful that God has been able to encourage them this way as He is finding ways to involve them in the day to day ministry in San Luis.

We were blessed to preach at the men’s federal prison, CFFE, a 3 day revival campaign at El Jordan Church, Vino y Aciete (Wine & Oil) Church and Victory Outreach. Awesome presence of the power of God in healing and deliverance. We also had the 26th Chains Broken worship service at the Church of God in Mexico to lift up men and women in prison and families of those that are incarcerated. A 492.50 peso (~40 USD) was received as an offering that will be given to the pastor of the men’s federal prison. The following 2 nights were designated a “Divine Explosion” with Evangelist Nickolas Frias. Many people were healed and set free during the outreach.

We also managed to fix the washing machine for the ResourceCenter and Pastor Martin from CFFE donated a van full of clothes and shoes that we were able to give to a couple starting a new ministry further out in cardboard city. We bought 30# of chicken for a young girl’s baby shower out at the housing project, supported a fundraiser for a local church family that successfully raised funds for a drum set, helped a woman that was going to lose her credit without some financial assistance, furnished tablets and pencils for Steven Larios’s 12-15 year old Sunday School class (remembering that he is only 11), have given out Bibles to various church families and have completed the new brochure specifically for the ministry in San Luis and other parts of Mexico. The lawyer has returned from presenting our application for our Mexico non-profit and should receive the final papers in Septemeber. The four on the board are Victor, Elvira, Miguel and Lupita.

Testimonies – She is only 12. She and her friend came to the mission home hoping for something to eat. Her friend is 14 and 3 months pregnant. Victor made them something to eat and we visited. As I was leaving to cross over to prepare for the evening service, I went to say good-bye and give them a blessing. I looked into the young girls eyes and said, “Te amo”, which means “I love you”. She immediately looked at Victor and said something in Spanish. The translation, “I have never had a man say “I love you” that did not want to have sex with me.” These are God’s children.

Many people that have come to visit at the mission home know her. She has many children and provides for them by spending the day going through garbage cans. Early in the morning on Father’s Day, as we prepared to leave for a church service, she came with one of her children. Just for a glass of water. She wanted to ask what she should do with her oldest son, 11 years old. He is now involved in gangs, killed their dog with a knife and is now stabbing her younger kids. She said, “I try to encourage the kids to go to school so they can live better than we are now, but I don’t know what to do.” After the church service, we went to visit them. We were finally able to separate him from the other children, which wasn’t hard because he wanted to show us his marijuana plant. He said he knows there is a God, but that he doesn’t believe that God cares about him. We were able to visit and be with him. It is God’s love through the Holy Spirit that prompted him to accept Jesus Christ as His Savior.

People don’t care what you know, until they know that you care. Compassion. Little things with Great Love.

June 1-10, 2009 San Luis, Mexico

We were blessed to receive the team from Washington, Robert LaCount, Adam Waldron & George Henson that brought the worship trailer down with bibles and other supplies on Saturday, May 30th. Robert was able to stay with the group in Mexico until Monday before going to visit family in Tucson. Lot’s of pastors and leaders came during the week to see the trailer and outreaches and crusades have been planned into July using the trailer. Elisabeth pampered the group during the week making sure there was lot’s of good food to eat. Adam helped Miguel Tapia to set the front door in the home of Chindo and Rosario and we have an estimate of $300 to build all the windows. We have already received a commitment for half that amount. After the windows are installed, they will be putting up the permanent light fixtures in the home. Already, Isaul, the oldest son, has been given responsibility for maintaining the car, buses and vans and access to the tool shed.  We know that God will continue to expand the ministry of the family.

Adam was able to practice with Alex and Julie and their 3 boys to prepare for the first outreach with the worship trailer in front of the mission home on Friday evening. The evening was filled with worship music, testimonies, puppets and ended with the Spanish Veggietales “Gideon”. What a blessing to see people from different church families and neighbors from the community join together. Adam and Elisabeth joined Miguel to visit and minister at the drug rehab and then spent two nights with Victor and Elivira helping them with their job watering lawn at the housing projects. The week also included: attending and George preaching at the Dream Center; making flyers for two 3-day revivals that are planned for the end of the month; making minor alterations to the worship trailer; mandolin and guitar lessons; video challenges and movie watching; foot-washing; prayers and testimonies and a visit to pray and witness the plan that Alex and Julie have for the building of a facility at 45th that will provide a place for a church family to gather and for ministry to the community. After communion and prayer on Saturday morning, Elisabeth and Adam joined Robert to drive back to Washington and George traveled to Tucson to visit with Goshen Ministries.

George met Pastor Bigimba, a Congolese refugee, in Burundi in the spring and was invited to preach at the GoshenChurch in Bujumbura. Pastor Bigimba also has a ministry working with African refugees in Tucson and has the GoshenChurch in the city. Unfortunately, on Wednesday, there was an accident involving 17 African refugees outside of Tucson and 6 people were killed and others hospitalized. The accident involved people from 11 families and many of them were a part of the church family. George was able to preach on Sunday morning and join Pastor Bigimba in ministry at the hospital and the homes of those involved in the accident. Please keep these people, saved and unsaved, lifted up in prayer and the witness that Goshen Ministries is providing in the community. We are prayerfully considering plans to involve them in the ministry in San Luis, Mexico. After returning late Sunday night, George was able to join Miguel in the men’s federal prison and plans have been made for the 26th Chains Broken Worship Service scheduled the end of the month to bring the Church in San Luis together to pray and uplift our brothers and sisters in prison. We are excited that Elisabeth will be sharing on behalf on the ministry in Mexico and we look forward to her return with another team the end of the month.

May 2009

Greetings Brothers and Sisters in Christ. The Lord has been touching the hearts of the people, drawing them close to Him. Victor, Elvira and Elisabeth went to visit Sophia Ramirez, who was saved last month, and did a bible study. She told them she wanted to get baptized so that same day they drove out to the canal and Victor and Sophia’s husband helped baptize her. You could see the Joy of the Lord on Sophia and her husband’s face. A lady named Anna came to the house with her baby and 7 year old son. Elvira spent time with her in the sewing room. God spoke and said He wanted to save this family so Victor told her about Jesus. They all looked up scriptures together and talked about the Lord. She said she wanted to accept Jesus as her savior so Victor led her and her son in the prayer of salvation. The Holy Spirit was touching there hearts and both of them were crying. It was a beautiful moment to see two souls saved and be touched by the presence of God. This is the fourth salvation the Mexico ministry team has seen since March. Many people have come to the mission home needing prayer. Three teenagers came and they were asking for a touch from God. Victor and Elisabeth prayed for them and God touched them. One girl was delivered of hurt and pain in her heart. Many Pastors have been prayed for and God touches them. Elisabeth received a powerful touch from God at Pastor Juan’s house. She was baptized in the Holy Spirit. Victor, Elvira and Elisabeth went to a three day campaign at Florentina’s church, El Ministerio Casa de Todos. The worship was led all three nights by Evangelist Federico and three different Pastors preached every night. Many hearts were touched by God. The resource center has been used to help Pastors and people in the community. They come to use the computer, copier, printer and the books in the library. Victor, Elvira and Elisabeth went to a birthday party for Victor’s neice. Elisabeth has spent much time with Rosario and her family. She has taught Rosario how to make a cake and Vanessa and Juan Ramon helped her wash the car. Isaul and Adrian have helped Victor at work watering the parks and they also spend time watching movies and playing video games. That opens the door to build relationships and minister to them. Rosario and Chindo have been busy working on there new house. The tile floor is finished and all the walls have been painted. The shower and the toilet have been installed and they have electricity. The front door was purchased. They are very happy. God Bless you from San Luis, Mexico.

April 30, 09

Greetings brothers and sisters in Christ. The work of the Lord is continuing strong in San Luis. The Chains Broken Service was held on April 25 at the El Jordan Church with Pastor Elfido Montez. Ministerios La Casa de Todos, Iglesia El Hombre de Galilea, Missionaries Thomas and Peidad and several other churches came together to worship God. Many testimonies were given and Evangelist Ramiro preached about how the blood of Jesus Christ has power. He shared a testimony of his sister who was healed of cancer and encouraged the people to hold on to the word of God. Many people went to the altar for prayer and hearts were touched. The sports tournament in the prison was held and the prisoners received the trophies and prizes that were donated. Harvest Vision would like to say thank you very much to Mark and Sandy Eaton, from Anacortes, Washington who donated the trophies. It is a real blessing to the prisoners. Chindo and Rosarios house is looking good. Victor and Chindo went shopping and bought the tile and the front door and put 300 pesos down payment for the property and the electricity. All the sheet rock is on the walls and some of the tile has been put in the kitchen, the hallway and in all the bedrooms. Victor’s cousin Juan receives bread in Arizona at a ministry and brings the bread to Mexico. He delivers the bread to the churches, people in the community and to Harvest Vision. Victor, Elvira and Elisabeth take that bread out to card board city along with Bibles and that opens the door for them to pray for the people and share the gospel with them. Harvest Vision would also like to send a big thank you to Juan for bringing the bread. It is a real blessing to Harvest Vision and to the people in card board city. Thank you so much! Many women and Children are still coming to use the sewing room to make clothes for there kids. Elisabeth has taught a bible study with the women who come to use the sewing room. Victor helped translate and they got to pray for each one of them. The gospel is being spread in San Luis. Elisabeth also got invited to preach at Florentinas church Ministerios La Casa de Todos. Afterward missionary Thomas came to the altar for prayer because his leg was in a lot of pain. Victor and Elisabeth prayed for his leg and it was completely healed. Praise God! Many neighbors have come to the Mission Home because they know it is a safe place to come if they need prayer or help. A neighbor lady came over and asked Victor, Elvira and Elisabeth to drive her and her daughter to the hospital because she thought she had a miscarriage. So they drove her to the hospital. Another neighbor asked for a ride to the pharmacy to get medicine for her daughter who had heart problems. They asked Elisabeth to pray for her and she did. The next day the girl with the heart problems said she felt a lot better and she knew she would be healed. Several churches have come to borrow the buss and the projector. It has been a blessing to those churches. The Harvest Resource Center has also been used to help a young boy do his homework on the computer and make copies of children’s lessons for Sunday school classes. Victor, Elvira and Elisabeth have been visiting many different churches such as Vino y Aciete, Ministerios La Casa de Todos, Iglesia de Dios en Mexico, and El Jordan. They have prayed for the Pastors and ministered to them helping them and encouraging them in the Lord.

San Luis Report – Jan. 18, 09

Hola, from Mexico, to our Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Harvest Vision Ministries has been very busy. Elisabeth Angell, from Washington moved into the Mission Housing with Victor and Elvira Lopez. She is learning many things to help with the ministry. Elvira has been very ill, but God is healing her and she is feeling much better. Victor has been in much prayer and felt led, for the next few months, to have a Chains Broken Service every other month beginning Saturday, February 14th at Iglesia Apostolica Evangelica ( Church of the Living God ). He is still working on the food ministry delivering bread to churches and people in the community. The ministry is continuing to help build a house for a family that helps with the ministry. They have finished putting trusses for the roof. They continue to loan the van and tools to people. Miguel, Jessie and Tonita Tapia are still going to the rehab centers and prison. Elisabeth has been going with them to help pray for and support the ministry. She is praying with a local couple, Alex and Julie Larios to intercede for the community.

Victor and Elvira have been busy ministering to the people of San Luis.

God has been touching the heart of the people and has opened up the door for him to teach a Saturday night bible study.

The mission team was in San Luis for 1 week and built a house for a family in cardboard city. They also did door to door evangelism in cardboard city. We passed out rice, beans, tomato sauce, and oil, along with tomato seeds. We got to minister to each family and pray for them. Many people were touched by God and 4 people accepted Jesus as there savior. Pastor Fidel’s sister Lupe came to Mexico and I spent time with her and introduced her to many families in San Luis and we got to pray for them. It was an awesome ministry day working with Lupe. I have also been working with Pastor Alex and Julie Larios. We delivered clothing, toys and bibles to families in cardboard city. Harvest Vision was very blessed to receive a big box of bread and clothing from Pastor Ralph Rosas from Fuego y Agua Church. I felt led of the Lord to deliver the clothing and bread to the Centro de Sueños Rehab Center and to another all men’s rehab and some soap, lotion and shampoo to an all womens rehab along with evangelism flyers.

God is good!! Keep praying for the work of God in San Luis to spread. God Bless!!

Greetings brothers and sisters in Christ, this is Elisabeth Angell. This is a new year and we believe God will do some amazing things in 2010.

June 27, 2010 Puebla and Elizabeth and her 2 kids, Dana and Jose Miguel. They have been with us for 2 months now and have been a blessing sent by God. Both of them have accepted Jesus Christ as there savior and Oscar was baptized and received many deliverances from demonic forces that were tormenting his life. It is amazing to see the work God is doing in there lives and in the lives of Victor, Elvira and I through it. We are also in the process of helping Elizabeth find a job and help her get on her feet so she is able to support her two children. Much time is spent at the Mission Home ministering to them and showing them the ways of Jesus Christ.

San Luis June, 2010

Victor, Elvira and I (Elisabeth) have been spending a lot of time at the Mission Home ministering to and helping Oscar, the 16 year old kid from

The Worship Trailer has been used at the Mission Home by two men from Rueben Lomeli’s church. They come about two times a week to practice there music.

The white van and the bus have been lent out to many Pastors and churches lately. They are being lent out so much we are in the process of needing 1 more van down here to meet the needs of the churches. Monte Sion Church is borrowing the van two times a week to bring people to church.

Victor, Elvira, and Oscar have gone to Casa de Oracion for a crusade where many people heard the gospel of Christ. They have also been going to an Ejido to teach Sunday school to the children. Victor, Elvira and Oscar went to El Gulfo and visited with some Pastors from Vino y Aciete church. They invited Victor and Oscar to go fishing with them 186.41 miles out in the sea and they caught 7 fish with a net 1.24 miles long. The Honda Gabe and Angie Fields donated for Victor was taken to San Luis, Arizona to be imported and now we have it back with Mexico plates on it. It has been a huge blessing to Victor and Elvira.

I have visited Manantial de Vida church, Fuego y Agua church and Pan de Vida church. I helped Julie Larios and the ladies from Pan de Vida make tortillas to sell after the church service and then helped them deep clean the church. Connie Moreno, my friend Lupe, Elizabeth, and Pastora Betty from Solo Para ti Hay una Espeanza church went with me to visit the women in the all women’s rehab center. Lupe and Betty lead the women in worship and all of them shared there testimonies and afterward many women came up for prayer. Lupe and her husband came to me and told me they want to start some evangelism in the city. So I was able to give them some bibles and gospel tracts to help them minister to the people. I also helped connect her husband to a men’s rehab center where he can go and minister to the men. Connie, Lupe and I also went to San Luis, Arizona and visited In His Hands Ministry. We visited with them for a while and they greatly blessed us with 6, 90 lb. bags of beans which will be taken to bless some people at the rehab centers and bless some of the local churches. A mission team from California came to San Luis and is staying at Lori and Richard Barcelona’s ministry compound. For 2 days I was able to help the missionaries and Lori Barcelona with the team. We had an outreach at Margarita and Eladio’s church, Jehova Sama Mission. The women on the team taught the Mexican women how to crotchet wash cloths and sew purses and dresses. The men on the team were helping Eladio build there new church building. It was a lot of fun and was a blessing to me to get to know Lori Barcelona and there team.
