HARVEST VISION MINISTRIES – AFRICA
VISION STATEMENT
BRING CHRISTIAN BROTHERS AND SISTERS TOGETHER TO INTERCEDE IN PRAYER AND THE SHARING OF OUR GOD-GIVEN GIFTS, TALENTS AND RESOURCES, INCLUDING FINANCIAL, FOR THE SPREADING OF THE GOSPEL IN CENTRAL AFRICA AND TO RECOGNIZE, ENCOURAGE AND SUPPORT THE LOCAL NATIVE MISSIONARIES (PASTORS, EVANGELISTS, TEACHERS AND OTHER LEADERS) THAT GOD HAS CALLED TO FULFILL THE GREAT COMMISSION.
· Bring Christian brothers and sisters together from Kenya, Uganda, Burundi, Rwanda, Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
· Develop a database of Christian leaders that can be sorted geographically and by “burdens” of ministry.
· Implement and maintain a non-denominational webpage for Central Africa which incorporates information that will help the body to work in unity and be better stewards of our resources.
· Communicate information on the evangelistic and teaching methods that the holy spirit is teaching us to reach different groups of people.
· Assist in coordinating with different churches and ministries to involve local leaders to plan strategic, small outreaches to outlying communities in which they provide the majority of resources needed ensuring ownership and accountability.
· Provide sound and video equipment to outreaches, providing for equipment transportation cost and the technical support, when needed.
· Coordinate outreaches to minimize the distance and cost when moving equipment and support from one outreach to the next.
2007-2008 Outreach Goal
Ongoing small outreaches involving door-to-door evangelism, crusades, v ideos and pastor and leadership training, organized by local native churches and leaders, to spread the gospel and prepare and support the church in the discipleship of new believers. Historically, we have seen an average of 8-10 strong Christian leaders being involved in setting up the outreaches.
The outreaches would be every weekend (3-4 days), 52 weeks a year in five different areas: Uganda; southern Kenya and bordering Tanzania; Rwanda and bordering Tanzania; Burundi and bordering Tanzania and the Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The testimonies have evidenced from 35 – 150 are coming to Christ at each of these outreaches, many others are healed and delivered, new churches are being established and these new believers are being discipled, individually and corporately, by the local Christians in the community.
5 sets of equipment x 52 weeks = 260 outreaches in one year
260 x 90 (average new Christians) = 23,400 new Christians
260 x 9 (average Christian leaders involved in outreach) = 2,340 leaders to disciple new believers
